How many question marks do you need to put in there, Sir? Looks like the problem is YOU.

On a serious note, I love the Nokia N8. I don't care what the haters say.

And by the way, the N8 is not a toy! It is for power users and serious smartphone owners who need reliability, speed and durability. If you want a toy cell phone, get the iphone or a candy Android phone. It is for "smart" users, hence it is really a "smart"phone. The learning curve is a little steep but once you get it, hell you are undeniably a smart smartphone user. Drop it on the ground, it is still 100% working. Drop your toy iPhone/Androide and wollaaa, goodbye toys.

Where does these "buggy phone", "laggy phone", "phone restarting problem of N8" comments come from??? Holy crap, I don't think these people even saw, much more own the N8. I was one of the first to own it and hell I'm the happiest smartphone owner in the world! It's all the opposite of what these liars are saying. Why, why, why??? Do you really hate N8 or Nokia this much??? What is the problem people???

I just bought the Nokia N8 yesterday, for
only P11,500 from a Moslem vendor in Isetann
Recto. It was second hand but the condition is
          near-perfect. I also got a free DVD of Journey's
Live in Manila in 'clear copy'.

This is the best Christmas ever!

Restart and hanging Problems Exist even after the update
I am from India . I got my Nokia N8 3days back. on the second day i really disappointed. I had faced a various problems in my handset(N8). The problems which i faced is "Restart and Hanging". So I went to Nokia care center and upgraded to a new version. On the same day itself I got the same problem along
with a new problem. My phone got restarted several times. In one stage it died(Cannot able to start it). So again i went to the care center again the process repeated . Again i came up with a new problem My display keys did not work at all and phone got totally hanged up. Even i cant able to restart it. So, I am really disappointed with this handset. I believe Nokia is seeing this and soon provide a good solution for the problem. I think there is a Bug with Symbian ^3 Os.

My N8 crushed and freeze while I'm trying to watch videos on youtube, i was connecting the internet using wifi. Yupe.. i need to wait until the battery flat.. N8 is not the phone for the people who like to use applications.. alot. The music speaker is decent. But the camera was fast, atleast. I'd rate N8 7/10. To be frank i regretted buying N8 and considering to sell it but.. I'm gonna stick with Nokia abit longer until N9 released and proof something new.

I'm quite sure if you are nokia user you dont see and notice that kind of things that clearly, (i also didnt noticed that nokia phones was that slow and sticky i thought it's the level where it can be but when i tryed something else i noticed i was wrong) but if you had used something else, the difference is there and you noticed it many situations.

for example i meant things like, lot of emails in inbox and scrolling getting sticky. I think the laggy was wrong word, i meant using N8 is sticky compared other hi end phones.

symbian doesn't need alot of ram and clockspeed to run

680mhz with alot of ram which is has now runs just as fast as a 1ghz with 512mb RAM or just alittle slow but it's still really fast"

I disagree, i did a lot of testing N8 at weekend and have to say it definately need more speed, it was pain to use compared to other hi end phones, they just worked so fluid and effortlessly. When i tryed N8 i got frustrated and angry not fun to use, browser was laggy even mobile sites was laggy, picture editor was laggy, video editing was laggy, many games was laggy, facebook was laggy, email app was laggy i dont continue anymore. Then we have coverflow which is very fluid, i would expect same performance everywhere. Some parts of N8 works fast and some not. I cant go back to that level because i got used to use phone which is always smooth and fast.

After testing N8 i tested galaxy s, which has a new OS for me and i havent tryed it, first time i touched the screen the difference was huge, it was very easy to use and it worked nice and fluid and it was a new experience for me but it worked right away.

So i would say the guy who asked about speed, if you want phone which is ALWAYS smooth and fast pick iPhone compared to N8.

and then there is WP7, freaking fast and smooth too :D

vijay, 08 Dec 2010thanks jim78 but how is the speed compare to iphon? i thing... moreHere is another questionable dialogue. With the introduction of well you tell me "some one told me toucj of iphone is uncomparable" & "that ipnoe has mastery in music and status wise is also nice" also "i m still confuzed my friend...suggest some better feature than iphone in N8...." er!!1

These 2 phone only similarity is that if you enter a valid telephone number and press call you actually can speak to somebody if they check out that ringing noise. This post is not dissing jim78, but please vijay one or the other iphone4 or N8 come on now.

jim78 says nokia N8 but he is extremely biased
i mean after all N8 (wow) impartial view on my part.
Or heres a suggestion get BOTH , then all the unquantifiable descriptions GSMARENA did not against my advice include in its feature. COME ON GSMREANA HOW DOES THE PHONE ACTUALLY FEEL? ET AL.
I seriously wonder in some of the posters actually wear clothes. "i don't know what to wear again naked wednesday. Listen it not about having the best phone in the world its about having a phone that does everything you want it to do. Can i live with the features on this phone or are my needs best served by that phone.

you're taking advice from everybody methinks the phone is just a status sysmbol to you rather than a device for calling emergency services in say an emergency.

So are your needs best served by the Iphone4 or the N8
if you vijay had to make a decision what would it be ?
                                        no googling no bing.
Me personally I would advise BOTH , get the touch the feel of then you can decide in two years, which one I should have bought & meant it.

I know already what features e.g. 1) my phone must have a card slot, LAST 4 YEARS CARD ALWAYS HAS BEEN. SO I WOULD BE IGNORING MY OWN ADVICE AND JUST OPTING FOR THE N8

                                        regards
