"Check CPU, GPU, RAM ammount and bandwidth, screen resolution and battery performance. Don't let the camera and the HDMI output to blur the whole picture."

Whats wrong with the GPU? And whats the whole picture exactly?

If the device performs well than the whole picture is clear. If we just look at the two CPUs than yes we can say one is better than the other but MHz is not everythin'.
There are youtube videos that demonstrate the N8 as a FAIL but there's also videos that demonstrate the contrary. So, who should we believe? Maybe the ones that didn't have native Symbian ^3 apps? The pics smples taken by users that forgot(?) to remove the camera lens foil? Come on, really? Are we all so simpleminded to take anything from the web without a grain of salt?

Can the iPhone last a full day with its specs? Yes, several in fact. Can the N8? Also. Depends how you use the device. The but the statement 'battery on the N8 is poor' is lame without a comparison of what you did to drain it.
Please don't state narrow minded 'facts' by looking at the specs sheet alone and its pretentious to think you can judge a device by it(well, you can but then your intentions become clear pretty fast [see? still no troll reference...ups!^_^]). People like their phones for what they can do with it and I think that with the N8 there is little one can not achieve and for some reason many have found themselves in a position where their current phone is just not that great anymore(well, technology does evolve does it not?) and felt inclined to spread FUD all over the place just to diminish the success of the competition.
You can bash any product as much as you like but at the end of the day it still remains a product. There are far better ways to spend your time on this planet then, say, replying to a troller, like I'm doin' right now. Oh, wait... :)

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010i search so many review, n8 user? why wave is great came... moreFor taking photos the N8 is better hands down, but Wave produces smoother videos (25 fps vs 30)with more saturated colors. I still prefer N8's video too because of its quality optics.

Ejike Ojukwu, 16 Nov 2010Power problem apparently because of battery. I bought 20pcs... moreYou are an Igbo man. Tell us the truth. Did you really have the money to buy 20 N8 phones from Dubai as you claim when other dealers are placing preorders with Nokia through Quickteller and GTBank. Where is your shop in Nigeria. Please prove that you are not a lair. Then we will try and solve your problem.

I have not disclosed a single compromising fact and I have not distributed any of my work's intellectual property.

For every bad word you use, the bigger the lulz.

i like my N8 although the apps are still not that many and the free angry bird game have only six games, also, the protuding camera is a little turn off and when making a call, if you hold it too close, you could sometime accidentally press on either the hold button or the dialler. otherwise, its a good phone for its price.

snonre, 17 Nov 2010'For the people defending N8 hardware against iPhone's or ... more"Btw, the n8 is a higher mid-range phone but the specs are good enough to compete with some higher end phones"

I totally agree with this. It manages to compete with the top.

[deleted post]"Saying you are working for a big company and you will get fired if exposed."

I didn't say it was a big company. They have business in three countries, but it's not what I'd call big. I have signed a contract of confidentiality, so yes, I could be fired.

"Symbian is a light OS compared to Android and IOS you as a reviewer or tester of some kind should know that."

That's a fallacy. Everybody knows Symbian suffers of inefficient access to system resources. It's just old. It's like saying Windows Vista is lightweight in the year 2020: Irrelevant.

They don't magically activate the latest sofware when your N8 pops out of the box. It's already done and there are people testing it, you know.

Touch is not up to the mark. HTC desire and iphone 4 has far better touch sensitivety... Nokia still has to long way to go
