dont buy n8 is so many problems restarting issue, photo capture blurred, symbian UI not response all the time, its better to go samsung jet, wave, galaxy S,htc, iphone its has good quality, good device, good hardware compared to nokia n8 low quality, low device, low software hardware think wisely before you buy n8 failed.

Anonymous, 08 Nov 2010If people don't use the phone, why do they buy? You jut so ... moreOne of the one's I've used the camera shutter doesn't even open all the time so you get 12 Megapixel black pictures, the photo's it takes are overexposed and blurry, I'll have to send it back to Nokia.

They are HORRIBLE to look at, the screen is a joke, the fonts are blurry and jagged and OLD FASHIONED must be the LOW resolution, the screen just looks WRONG.

Windows Mobile 7 on the Trophy I use is better, Android on the Samsung Galaxy S I use is better, on the HTC Desire HD, it's worse on the Motorola Flip and the SE X10 mini pro but they are small screens and king of them all is the iPhone 4, when you get used to it the Nokia screen looks amateurish and unfinished.

It lags like anything, when I touch things I am used to them opening straight away, I hate having to pause while the phone catches up.

if money is not a problem, iphone 4 of course, touchscreen is much better and the apps hands down are the best although android is catching up and ovi is starting to fill theirs with free apps too. initial and succeeding charging was more or less 4 hours.

Dont you think the pasting of IMEI sticker on the back, spoils the beauty of phone ? it should be under the battery & battery should be removable.

[deleted post]Interesting contributions, thnx for the informative post. Can you provide the firmware versions from each video? I can post a link where the N8 does not have those kind of issues so who should the general public believe, me or you?
I guess you are trying to prove a point, that being that all phones have issues(unless you're implying only the N8 can be faulty??hope not, cuz then I'm replying to a troll...). The owners of the N8 that have the latest FW and problems like the ones in the videos are inclined for a replacement and Nokia would never deny you one.
I still don't own the N8 but videos you provided links to would never stop me from buying the phone because the majority of users don't have any issues and are happy with the purchase. The Internet is a beautiful place but it does contain a lot of FUD that can give you a false sense of things. I really don't know how anyone would judge the N8 from your posts alone. People nowdays tend to research their purchases, the N8 has its flaws that are talked to death all over the net but I for one think they are not a deal breaker, but thats just me.
Also, be sure to visit AAS as they have a five part review of this baby and part six is on the way.
                                  Cheers!
