Hpone no need kapersky or anti virus, not good idea.

Hi Friends..
Am Selva from TamilNadu,India. I got my Nokia N8(dark grey) on last monday after refering to many reviews as possible. Initially i was little afraid to buy Nokia N8 and planned to buy after 3 months. But when Nokia announced that the Symbian^3 will be continuously updated in future enhancements, i decided to buy it. I bought it for 24,000 INR including tax. A day after i goy my N8 i had a trip to my nera district so i havent used it much. When i returned after 2 day trip, i started to play with my N8. It was working so perfectly and there is no lags at all. For me the problem started when installed Kaspersky Mobile Security(KMS). My sweet N8 started to reboot continuously, so i took it to Nokia care. They cleaned the mobile and gave back to me. From that time to till noe i was enjoying the features and performance of N8. To say it in Simple Words. Nokia N8 is simply Super. GREAT JOB NOKIA.
In between i left a another incedence. When i was taking photo from my N8 i always had very poor quality photo and is worst when compared to 3.2MP camera also. So i again called to Nokia Priority and asked for replacement. But thay asked to come shop. When i reached shop(am fully wet because of rain) i took the moble from plastic cover and gave to Dealer guy. As soon as het got my mobile he removed the camera plastic cover and asked me to take photo. What a suprise... My N8 is shooting the Still very comparable to my Cannon IXUS 130. I saw those photos in HD TV available in Showroom. I was so happy that i have not wasted my money. Moreover dealer guy assured that if there is a problem surely he replace the mobile.Am really happy now And i can proudly say that Nokia N8 is value for money and even more.

i can sense your desperation to troll around here, OMG talaga, u think you can just fool any1 just by changing names.
I'm no nokia fan right now, i'm a wave user-bada OS aaand i don't hate Nokia, Nokia to me equates lasting quality, most models may not have high end materials but they are built to last. got my n81 with plasticky feel but hey still working FINE and DANDY after 3 years without major breakdown encountered.
i did try an N8 demo in SM-north, like Eldar said it is the fastest symbian fon and he's right on that point. it is fast not blazingly fast but satisfactorily fast. got used to the wave UI experience as expert say its fluidity is comparable to apple. it could had been a revolutionary experience if i wasn't well exposed to other brands and could had tooo-tot my CC at that moment for the N8, hahaha
but i already raised my benchmark on touch UI experience, from my zune hd and well the samsung wave. to me the first acquaintance with N8 is just a surprise that i never thought Nokia could have done a descent job in touch phones.

[deleted post]i say dont trade in your x6..its a good fon...keep& use it for while the price of n8 will drop in a few months by that time n8 surely to received updated fw etc ..so u can purchase this n8 and still got your x6...i bet the trade in price for x6 is not worth enough.. anyway its your call cheers

If your phone is restarting like no tomorrow, i recommend you all reinstall the phone software and then perform a hard reset. If possible, get a software update

I'm in Canada.
My N8 arrived DOA. Stone cold dead! Charged with Nokia 2mm for several hours, charged with USB and wall plug several hours, nothing.
I've returned it under an RMA and am waiting for a replacement.

first used / impression...its perfect...
on the 6th day of use...performed hard reset because no more incoming mails.
i tried to configure it with ovi but surprisingly the message prompt is my N8 is not capable for email set up...
i tried to open the social network but the screen turned blank, but on the first couple of days of using i can easily go to my fb acct...
last solution...brought it to service center for checking...so sad :(

[deleted post]Have you installed some third party software that not published by Nokia at Ovi? Usually, it is the case of the problem, not a hardware issue.

Even though galaxy n ip4 has better os i prefer n8 than th0se.

I have read that the N8 has a Gorilla Glass display, meaning it is scratch resistant. Is it still practical to put a screen guard on it just to be sure? Does the screen guard affect the tactility of the phone? I wonder if I should still put one, since it is only "scratch resistant", not "scratch proof".
