I just had problem with my 3 day old Nokia N8. I was surfin my internet forum (running on vBulletin) when the phone freezed up. It shuts itself down and refuses to start since. Im gonna have to take it to the service center tomorrow. This is quite unacceptable for a 3 day smartphone.

Hey Wheez. Good to hear from you bro!! Could you do us a fav and give us some feedback thus far with your N8 experience to date. You were one of the 1st to get your phone and hence should have had the most experience with it. Please share it with us as we really value your input here. Please tell us the good and bad, i'd just like to know what to expect. I'm still getting it anyway. It does everything i want and more. I'm not settling for eyecandy and super speed to the detriment of other features that i have become used to my in my mobiles and that all these newbies clearly lack in one area or another. Keep well and take care man, good luck with your studies too.

I've had my N8 nearly a week and I love it. I work in sales for a network and out of the power 4: HTC DHD, Galaxy S, IP4 and my N8, the N8 seems to have the most hardware for money. We've had a look at all of them and it really will depend on your app/hardware preference, which is best.

The Wave is a good alternative for people who want the Super AMOLED, but want to save power as BADA isn't nearly as consuming as Android, the same can be said for Symbian V3 (this will get more support as Samsung drop support for old at a moments notice, they honestly don't give a **** about them.

As for the CPU/GPU/ROM, Samsung claim they have the fastest, this will also be the most power hungry. They boast their Humming bird is 2x faster than the equivalant Snapdragon and 4x faster dealing with graphics.

Ip4 are quality for ease of use and good quality apps, horrendsly overpriced though.

For me it was between the Galaxy S, Desire(mk1) and the N8.

I have gone through Andriod (Sony x10) and iPhone 4 and they both are very bad for business integration. The droid works well with google apps best, and the iphone is a totally closed system that relys on itunes for everything. The N8 has personality. While every other machine is running Android or the closed circuit iphone, the Symbian3^ is definitely in a league of its own, droids and iOS notwithstanding. It is light on battery and memory, has the best camera that matches any current point and shoot, and has classy integration with Outlook. Symbian Rules!!
