Um i love the handset would love to save up soon enough to buy it,
However a query for something that does excellent Videos and Pictures why would nokia leave out a VIDEO LIGHT? on a cam which can record HD VIDS

This hand set Nokia N8 is unbeatable awesome i purchased it on 17/10/10 Rs.23000.

Can someone share the experience of the battery performance of Nokia N8? Nokia claims 50 hours of Music Playback. Is this 50 hours play in one single charge :) And how about the abttery performance if videso are played, for eg. watching a film,etc.
Also someone mentioned that the price of N8 is going to drop by 2k Indian Rupees, is that true? When is that going to happen?

nokia shuld undrstnd the overall middle class people of india. why the cost is so high of n8? all the software and hardware is available in china mobile with a least cost. then why to waste such a huge amount on n8. inspite of that nokia c5 features and functions are easy and speed is awsome. you can have nokia c5 just by rs.8000 INR. and u can have all the facilities in it except the camera of 12 mp. but in reality what is the use of 12 mp camera in day to day life. and more over the battery backup what noted is 12 hours is not correct. but, in c5 its worth. so, my suggestions for all of you those who are going to buy nokia n8 pls. don't waste ur money. instead u can get nokia c5 and save or invest ur balance of money in other things. there are so many things in life to inverst but, for n8 is worthless. thanks.

Does this phone slows down?
i haven't bought it yet, bt have heared in the phone market that this phone is a slow working phone as nokia N97.
Is that true? any one know about it.

did you try " Resco Photo Viewer " ? if not give it a shot... i remember IT DID had a folder view :P

Nokia as now created a DAB radio headsets for the N8,C7 an E7 at £45-£50,an will wait to see people opinions before purchasing these headsets,a very good idea from Nokia an hope they do work o.k on my N8

Anyone with the N8 an it Freezes,just hold the power button down for 8 seconds an the phone will turn off,an just wait for it to turn back on,as my N8 froze yesterday an thought my phone was faulty,an could not use it an just showed the Clock screen saver,i thought of removing the battery cover,but then realised i would lose my warranty,so Nokia Care sorted my problem out an its working o.k but the battery got drained not able to turn it off,hope it does not freeze again as i want to get used to using the N8

No. I don't mean 'slideshow', which my Nokia 5235 already has, which also many cameraphones have. What is mean is, when I create various folders (e.g,on a MicroSD card) to categorize photos, it is not possible to view folder-wise. The trouble is the built-in gallery shows all photos in one place, including interfaces of installed programs.
I have tried Nokia's 'photo browser'too. It too does not have that option.
I would have bought N8 without hesitation if I don't have my Canon S90. Still I might consider N8 if it has that option, because of portability as you said.
