Guys good news...N8 launch party is there in mumbai...on 12 Oct...Fones hitting the stores on 15 oct...be ready to have the best fone in your hand....And all u loosers who r promoting your crap iphones and samsung...Get a life we knw your fone is weak compared to N8...and u all r jealous and insecure...get lost go to your own forum....hhahahaha

If u read what i posted yesterday (if you even read that is), I said that different operating systems require different processors. From what i see from the youtube videos, Symbian^3 is pretty smooth on the N8. Whats more, N8 incorporates the CPU AND GPU for a smoother user experience
2. N8 - Symbian vs BADA (speed test) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
Can't relly say much bout this, cause I dont have a N8 (planning to get 1 though) nor a samsung wave. And I cant find any vids on youtube about the speed test. But what i see from individual videos of both phones (i went through a lot of videos, not just 1), they pretty much have the same performance speed. (Even asphalt 5 lags abit on the wave)
3. N8 - NO LED for VIDEO - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
True, but a measly LED as a photo flash wont do much good compared to a XENON flash on the N8. If you dont believe me, go search on allaboutsymbian.com, they have an article about the comparison between xenon and led.
4. N8 - VIDEO is 25fps vs 30fps (better CPU) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
A hacker (HyperX is im not mistaken) have solved that problem. He managed to increase the N8 video recording capability to 30fps WITH continuous AUTO FOCUSING! TOP THAT!
5. N8 - old AMOLED vs Super AMOLED (you must see) - NO CHANCE vs Wave!

Do u mean app? Or is it an AP version of N8? IF ur talking about app, bada right now still has a miserable amount of apps even though it has been introduced for quite sometime. Where else the N8 has just only been released and it already has some awesome apps available. Just give it some time and you will see the number of app for the N8 grow.
9. N8 - 360 x 640 vs 480 x 800 pixels - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
U literally have to squint ur eyes ON the display to notice any difference between the display on both phones.
10.N8 is BIGGER and UGLY and wight 135 g vs 118 - NO CHANCE vs Wave!
U must have a fashion taste of a dead zombie to say the N8 is ugly. OMG, 17 grams extra! That will definitely pull my pants down when I put the N8 in my pocket. :p

all you fanboys of android, bada and iphone os. are indeed blind with spec.
I personal thinks that iphone os is just addon from preveous os. that android is just like blackberry but alike advance. the bada is just a wana be to maemo 5
with all that is said n900 maemo5 is more mutare than iphone os, bada os ,android blackberry os. symbian 3 is the last in symbian is more friends then android, bada, blackberry and iphone.

I loved my sony ericsson walkman speakers, my N85 speakers now are not that bad either, but about latest smartphones I mostly hear the speakers are low volume. I dont expect speakers to be as good as my old W810i, but I'm really looking for a smartphone (one like N8, I really like it's features) with a decent loudspeaker.

“I'm quite imp... moreThis is one thing I personally never really answer. Cos people have so different expectations. Me who always listens to music from laptops integrated (shitty) loudspeakers and very rarey with headphones or anything good quality, I'm very satisfied with the speaker quality.
Someone who always uses 500€ Sennheiser headphones probably isn't all that satisfied with the quality from the loudspeaker.

Oh and 1 more thing when i asked the nokia guy about the availability i was told that those who preordered the n8 will be getting theres by 15th to 20th of this month and when i asked him when it will be available to the general customers...he said that it will take TWO FREAKIN MONTHs...i dont believe him...i think he doesnt know what he's talkin about...:(

Nokia N8 does everything the Desire HD or iPhone4 can do, some things maybe not just as well, but not badly either. In addition to this, N8 does so many things iPhone 4 and HTCs can only dream about.
I rather have a phone that isn't the fastest of prettiest but is actually capable, isntead of being pigeonholed into a niche of app store and smooth transitions.
They are great devices, but still not for me.

For me the speaker is very important to be loud, but still decent quality. The opinions about the speaker are very opposing. Can someone make clear how good/bad the speaker is? (compared to other phones?)

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2010just read this !!!! N8 only has better camera and nothing m... moreiOS is good at what it can do. The thing is however, it is so limited in what it can do. While I love the smoothness and fastness of it, I could never settle with iPhone myself.
Simply cos my 4 year old phone does twice the things iPhone would ever do.
Also, HTC Desire HD or iPhone 4 don't have stuff like free offline sat nav comparable to OVI maps, no FM transmitter, no USB OnTheGo, battery life as good as N8.
They also have LCD screens, meaning I can't have screensaver clock on the screen. This alone is a HUGE thing for me, cos my cellphone is my only clock.
I guess nice review, but it doesn't hold true for everyone.

yo guyz...i went to the nokia priority dealer (chennai) to check out the n8...and i must say the built quality is simply superb...the camera and video recording was just awesum...the software was pretty fast...i wont say everything was flying...but is faster than previous nokia models i hav seen barring the n900...however the software lagged a little at some places like when i played the full movie inception and tried to forward it the video freezed and i had to press the menu button to get outta there...but the video playback was awesum...i played the tron(hd) trailer and i was really stunned...the music playback through the speaker was quite good...the speaker was loud enough...i really liked the pinch to zoom...it was smooth as a butter...but it could be improved in the web browser though...and 1 more thing i never really liked nfs...but i enjoyed it playing it over the n8...no lag no cluttering...the n8 played it real smooth...so i really liked it and am thinking of buying it
