Wheez, 05 Oct 2010Haa! I found "SIP options" (translated from finni... morethat sounds very promising. Where did you find the settings for creating new SIP profiles, I presume under "admin.settings" right? Now, if you could also find "net settings" in the same menu, it would be perfect as the category "net settings" is required for editing and modifying advanced VoIP settings :)
btw, thanks a lot your efforts are greatly appreciated.

N8 Camera review here.
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-n8-camera-en.shtml
Based on this review;
Top features of N8 (Camera) was easily beaten by outdated Samsung Pixon12 and just slightly ahead of a 5MP ordinary cam in Samsung Wave & iphone 4.
Top notch camera phone in the Nokia siblings only.
Just above average for camera.
Not good for macro shots, Wave especially Pixon 12 is way ahead. Excellent for long distance shots.
Can't get natural colors compare to Pixon 12.
Video is not comparable to that of Samsung Wave.
SE Satio(12MP) has better camera quality than N8.
Pixon 12 again has better result at night shots where both phones have xenon flash.
Pictures don't tell lies.
Aside from those points I mentioned N8 Camera is great.
I just said what I understand on that review of N8 camera.
Peace....

sukrsa, 05 Oct 2010Hi Wheez/All, What I understood, if swype is installed in ... moreI have the Swype beta installed on my N97. It does give you a qwerty in portrait. Althought I am more comfortable using the physical qwerty, I leave Swype on for those occasions when I do not want to flip open the keyboard and use the phone in portrait such as when it is in my car mount. I would expect that it would be the same for the N8.

sukrsa, 05 Oct 2010Hi Wheez/All,
What I understood, if swype is installed in ... moreYou could maybe try asking that from some Nokia tech service or something to ensure it's the real deal if you're suspicious.
Mine says Made in Finland and I read that all finnish made would say that and all china made would say Made by Nokia, which I sort of understand cos basically everything thats produced in masses, good quality or not from toys to socks says Made in China, so it may sound too generic.
However I really can't comment anything certain on this issue cos naturally we only have Made in Finlands here in Finland..

sukrsa, 05 Oct 2010Hi Wheez/All, What I understood, if swype is installed in ... moreAt least on every other phone Swype has enabled portraidmode qwerty. It's still in beta though and N8 (or my language) is not supported yet.

Haa! I found "SIP options" (translated from finnish :D) from the phone. I don't get any of that, but theres an option to make SIP profiles.
I hope you can make some judgement out of that

Hi Wheez/All,
What I understood, if swype is installed in N8, it will solve “Qwerty key board in portrait mode” problem. Is it correct?
In India shell their phole as “Made my Nokia”. My question is are there any doubt about the quality of those mobile with “Made in Finland/China etc.”?
Tnanks.

Marvin, 05 Oct 2010Hi Mark, a lot of Symbian phones (N85, E70, E71, E90 and... moreI would check it myself but I don't really know how to check it or what exactly to look for, don't really have use for the feature myself.

Mark, 05 Oct 2010Symbian natively supports SIP protocols. No app required. Hi Mark,
a lot of Symbian phones (N85, E70, E71, E90 and many others) supported VoIP natively in the past.
But are you really sure that the N8 provides a native SIP stack? Even wheez who genuinely owns an N8 said that the N8 apparently doesn't have one...Well, I just hope the E7 will ship with a native VoIP client pre installed...

Mark, 05 Oct 2010Hi Wheez, How are the headphones and how fast is Opera! ... moreHeadphones are nice, but they are the type you put inside the ear canal, which I don't really like, but the sound is good and it has microphone so you can use it as a headset too. Also has buttons for play/pause, next/previous song, volume and accepting calls.
