[deleted post]LOL. Whatever you say I loved using N8.
After using horrible N97 I never expected N8 to hit back. I see BIG improvements in Symbian3 devices.

As I've told you too many times by now, I've SEVERAL times suggested iPhone/Android phones to people asking which phone should they get, since the criteria they gave fit better to some other phone than N8.

      People who read these forums actively can prove I've done that many times.

        Why do I need a 1ghz CPU when all it would contribute to on the N8 is wasting battery. The N8 has a very powerful GPU which makes it very even to other current smartphones.

        I think you can see the power of N8s GPU pretty well there. The CPU is inferior and it shows in some areas, but overall I think those are pretty even, every device has an emphasis on slightly different thing.

              Handle a single email account well
              Have Swype text entry
              Free navigation
              Images taken at night that look good (typical bar images)
              Some 3d games
              Solid build quality
              Use opera mobile
              Connect to my AV equipment
              Be able to use it as a mass storage device for all kinds of media and work files
              Call
              Text

              Now, please explain, point by point, what those devices can do in the above areas that the N8 cannot. And no, I do not use Gmail, I connect to exchange.

                  Angry birds and NFS on N8 is awesome. Loved playing it.
                  Same experience with C6 too...

                                  Anonymous, 03 Oct 2010yes i saw them n some of them said same old outdated symbia... moreWell, it pretty much only looks the same than earlier Symbians. Symbian^3 has been overhauled for touch screen devies, no stupid double taps and endless popups of making sure if you wanna do that. Sure, there are still a fair bit of menus, but do you know what having the menus there bring? Options and features. The menus seem very logical to me and I don't feel them as any kind of a burden, actually I don't really even get how would I come along without them, when I wouldn't have the options directly there at hand.

                                  Those reviews were quite clueless though. Did you read the spot about "wading through pages of icons and menus and swiping and scrolling just to find the email client" or something? When I unlock the phone, my email client is right there (widget), I see the first 2 messages there and whether they have been read or not, a single tap will open the full email client for me. It's not an iPhone, so they shouldn't use it like the iPhone.

                                  It's all cool that you can go all day with the iPhone without opening a single menu unlike in the Symbian, but you have nowhere near the same freedom as you will on Symbian.

                                  I'd still really suggest that you try it out yourself if possible, but HTC Desire is a good device by all means, can't go much wrong with that :)

                                    Samsung lack of support and no signal iPhone makes this a clear winner.Camera is best there is and symbian is usable. ps.those with low IQ dont need this phone.
