I don't know why people are comparing N8 to iPhone??? Come on guys,we only compare things that are on the same price range. In my country N8 is 40k and iPhone 4 is 62k.so you see the gulf of difference?? It is obvious that people who can't afford an iPhone will want to buy N8. So we don't really need a comparision. What we want to know is,is N8 worth the money???

All i got from techradar's r... moreabout the techradar review its not about fanboysim or liking the android or htc devices more n hating the nokia n8 ..... its all about the best devices n softwares in the market n to be very honest with you android is the leader as far as the smartphone OS is concerned n anyone who has used the latest android devices will know that.....n also would realise that nokia n8 and symbion 3 OS is no match for say htc desire android,xperia x10 android or google nexus one.
techradar review is just telling u why u should pay the same amount of money on nokia n8 when u can get a better phone with a better OS like htc desire or if want a better camera xperia x10.
Anyone who has tried android devices wont look back to nokia n symbion for sure

All i got from techradar's review is comparison with iphone and android, and how symbian sucks and how it should be like iphone when you do this and that. One moment they are praising the n8 on one feature, only to be told that its not that important afterwards, or that it still sucks.
You can clearly see that the review itself is full of fanboyism, and it's clear that the one who wrote the review is a fan of android/htc/iphone/ios(whatever they are all synonymous to me). Because, they present their verdict without any rational thought. They said this is bad because it just is. If they didn't know where the hell is wrong, if they can't point it out clearly, who would believe them? Unless your a android/apple fanboy too.
Personally, i don't think anyone will benefit from that type of review.

compared to android, symbion is n epic fail n only those people will buy any symbion device who have not used an android device before......
htc desire,xperia x10 are much much much much much much better than nokia n8.
i bet after using any of those two devices u will know where the n8 stands

You wait 9 months on a phone to get landed with this 5 year symbian effort.

I was reading the wave's spec and I clicked refresh and wham, the wave had 50 more votes. So I did a test and click the wave page again in less than a minute and the wave had another more than 10 votes. Either sammy's fans really love their phone or the employees really love the company or both, but this is not right. They shouldn't abuse the voting system. And while they vote 10/10/10 on sammy phones, they probably vote 1/1/1 for Nokia phones and I think that's totally not cool.
I start to feel that gsmarena should require a login for people to vote. Otherwise, people just abuse the system and the ratings become irrelevant.

Does N8 have the same on screen-slider (as in the N97 series) for answering calls when locked? If so,does it have occasional "white Screen" problem we had with Nokia N97 when answering calls while the phone is locked?

olso n8 is better than other set
but and but not the best phone
1- the screen only 3.5 inches and we need 4 inches
2- the reseluosion only 360 x 640 pixels and we need 600 x 800
3- the screen AMOLED and we need { led with 3 dimanation without glasess )
4- the set with touchscreen and we need set with both keys and touchscreen
5-inernal memory only 16 GB but we need moor for hd videos at lest 80 GB like video cam
6-microSD, up to 32GB only but we need more and more 160 GB like video cam
7- GPRS not like google earth with 3 dimanations we need gprs with 3 dimanations
8- wlan wi-fi this for ony 50 metters but we need wi- max for 10000 metters
9- the camera 12 mp we need 24 mp
10- the camera digetal zoom but we need at least 3 optical zoom
11- the video 720 p @ 25fps we need full hd 1080 @ 30 fps
12- the battery 1200 mAh but if it 2400 mAh

Stuntman, 01 Oct 2010I find this, for the most part, a pretty good in-depth revi... moreI agree about folder system and used it since n3650,i create an Unused or Junk folder & put all the stuff i dont use in their so its still there if neded and NOT deleted..Everyone will be different in what they use most but i often make a new media folder and shove all media stuff in that,,i then do an office one and sort that out better.Symbian often uses these folders but i make new ones to suite as ofen the office is under apps and you cannot move to root.
I love symbian and tried others and perhaps odd in that i dont mind windows either,these Android things are just not techy just lovely little icons.There is nothing better than searching for and app and downloading it to find out you have to roll back time to install it,you feel as if you done something..

I think the reviewer is carrying some baggage from older Symbian phones. The organisation of the apps in multi-level folders is not an issue to me. I find that I reorganise everything in folders in a way that I prefer anyway. I have tried an iPhone before and they have everything scattered everywhere on the home screen. Just my personal preference to put things in folders. An extra level of folders help reduce the sheer number of apps in one screen.
The reviewer also said, "What's weird is there's nothing disastrously wrong with the Nokia N8." I think everyone still remember the N97. I guess Nokia can take this as a compliment, but it sounds like an insult as well.
The only thing I don't understand is his criticism about the volume buttons. "There's also a volume key with raised buttons, although these are fairly far away from each other, so can be hard to hit when you're not looking." Like what's that about?

I pre-ordered in USA and the "black" N8 was my only option, color wise :O(
N8's started shipping today, but USA will not get ours until end of October! Booooooooooooo NOKIA!
