Old Symbian phones mainly use AVKON, but future (at least Meego phones) will be only using Qt. N8 will support both the old AVKON things as well as the new Qt. All the new apps and stuff will be made with Qt.
They are currently remaking the N8s browser with Qt and supposedly it should be alot better after that, it won't make it into release though, but that update will probably come sometime closer to november.

On the other hand, there's a reason why some devices are N-series and the other E-series.

Just like we do on symbian ^1 and ^2, does symbian ^3 requires signing unsigned applications before installing? Not that it appears to me as a big deal though.

FX Studio on N8, is it free? I like freebies. Hehe.
Right now i hope that a new N8 version with qwerty keyboard will be available sooner. How you do that on n8 design? Well just imagine the black boarder/panel and the screen, or for better description, the part which is gorilla glass in material, to be the only part slide-able, then the whole anodized aluminum body(including the plastic part on top and bottom) will be left on the hands while sliding, a shallow cavity with keys replacing the position of the now slid and (not necessarily) tilted screen. What do you think? Vague? Nonsense? You can ignore it, I can only imagine. It will be my dream phone by then. Not that the n8 isn't already a dream phone the way it is.

i wonder how would you advertise nokia n8, what should be the good slogan for n8
i have an idea
throw away point and shoot camera and dedicated gps device, get nokia n8 for half the price of iphone 4 without contract

The Nokia E7 is coming out in a few months time, packing a 4" touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, symbian ^3, a 8mp camera and is available in a number of body materials, including anodized aluminium, stainlless steel, and even carbon fibre. I rather wait for the E7!It has all the features of the N8(exept the the camera) and more! Patients is a virtue!

This is SAMSUNG GALAXY , APPLE, SONY XPERIA X10 Killer. Compare the price with other phones. This has best hardware spec, comes in cheap price... I have X6 right now..i will be buying this shortly..... Nokia Prevails.. :D:D:D:D
