The long wait is finally over and the first official app by DivX for Symbian devices is out and ready to support Symbian both S60 3rd edition and 5th edition in the 1.0 version. So you can now finally enjoy your DivX movies in your pocket especially on your Nokia S60v5 devices.
Anyways, I was able to play an .avi file in my Nokia 5800 but not so smooth in start. You could just play divx files with a screen resolution not exceeding your phone’s screen resolution. The maximum screen resolution of some Nokia Symbian 5th edition devices is 640 x 360, not sure with S60v3 though, and most .avi files are on this resolution so converting will not make you more nuts on this. Just transfer the files and play, done!

The sound quality is what I should praise for because I was able to hear crisp audio output. As well as the interface of the application. You can download the application for free to download.

I want a 12mp camera for 'close up' shots from a distance. Absolutely nothing beats the camera in a N8. I will get mine in october for my birth day :-)

I like both n8 and n9, but i dont really need a 12mp camera so ill go for n9 with meego and keyboard.

had a nokia rep tell me a lil about the handset.. looks amazing.. scratch resistant and also has a feature on there which enables you to add special effects to ur videos or pictures like they used in avatar...

I also like nokia. We know that price is dynamic but you can give approximate price. N8 is the greatest innovation in nokia..

However, I personally think it'll come out earlier, as the N8 currently only seems to be waiting for finished software.

As for the battery, was sort of wondering the same, but they probably have some reason for it.. :D

I am a huge Nokia fan and always will be but for a flagship phone Ill give u a few reasons why I wont buy it.
1.We dont need a 12mpx camera we could do with an 8mpx
2.Such a powerful camera as a main and the secondary still VGA why not 1.3mpx for social networking.
3.A 1200 mah battery why not 1500mah like E72?
4.Screen resolution just amoled why not super amoled?
Just expressing my thoughts.

Do you have any source for this?
And having used the N8 myself, I didn't feel like it even needed faster CPU or more RAM, none of the prototype previewers have mentioned that it would've ran out of memory either.
Symbian is just so much lighter than iOS or Android, that compared to those, it does not NEED higher specs to run.
And Samsung Wave and iPhone 4 don't really have extraordinary battery lives.
