for all filipino asking the price of n8 is around 46,850php, much better to preorder in other country less price than philippines overprice. very shock 46,850php. Nokia center SM MEGAMALL. start selling 1stwik of september. is only limited units relesd here . because is so expensive price.

This is going to be the best hardware/software combination on the market. Symbian 3 is made for the N8...I am sure it will run very efficiently.
NokiaUSA should try to get it as soon as they can!!!!!!!!

Well what I can tell you is that the TI OMAP 3425 (I think 3425) ARM processor supports Linux. So it's certainly very possible that this handset could be converted to Meego, that fact that Nokia could if they wanted port this handset over to Meego.
However Nokia have stated clearly that this is an upper high end mid range device, & that the N9 which Nokia are considering giving a new series class other than N series will get Meego., & this deice is very likeley to show up in 2011 - just a little while off I know.
I do know that Symbian/Nokia have been testing the Nokia 5800 with early BETA versions of S^3. Devs have been running the OS on their 5800 to see just how volatile, compatible, robust the new Symbian OS is by running it on 5800's
If your interested, gsmpress.info published on the 9th Aug some news about 5800 firmware. It seems Nokia publicly release news abou an OTA new firmware release, V51.0.006. The official change log states an improved Mail for Exchange experience, improved video calls, updated web browser, and various performance tweaks.
