1. Another device that is believed will be announced in the very near future from Nokia is a new powerful Eseries smartphone running Symbian^3.

2. The E7-00 is also using the new Nokia naming convention. It reflects the high-end Eseries and could be the new communicator to replace the old E90.

3. As this is a business oriented device targeted to business customers, the hardware and software will also focus on the enterprice market.

4. Among others, the specification is :
- hybrid design (touchscreen and QWERTY)
- 4 rows QWERTY keyboard
- 4 inch AMOLED capacitive tilting touchscreen supporting multitouch and gestures
- (maybe) using snapdragon processor
- 256 MB of RAM
- 1024 MB of ROM
- 16 GB of internal storage
- microSD slot
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- 8 megapixel camera with LED flash (no Xenon, no Carl Zeiss optic)
- HD video recording
- No HDMI output
- Microsoft Office Communicator Suite included
- Symbian^3 goodness
- availability in August or September
- super thin at only around 13.8mm
- anodised aluminium body
- 1200 mAH unremovable built-in battery
- same design philosophy as the N-800

5. If it’s true, then it will be the first Eseries to use touchscreen. All other Eseries in history never used touchscreen (E50, E61, E70, E61i, E62, E65, E71, E66, E90, E63, E75, E52, E55, E72.

6. The photo of E7-00 was leaked since early 2010 but many people believed it to be one of the Nseries because of it’s similarities to the N97. Infact, many believed the photo is the N98. If you look at the photo closely, you will see “N00″ printed next to the “Options” softkey.

7. In the photo, the green colour suggests only one thing – concept stage. In the old days, I remember seeing photos of a green Psion Series 5 codenamed Protea and when it went into production, it’s not green.

8. Seriously, the specification made me drool and thinking about that 4 inch screen made me excited even more because t would also be a very capable multimedia companion. Movies and videos will look gorgeous on that screen!

10. Well, we have to wait for the announcement to be sure of it’s real specifications. Bring it on Nokia!!!

Some people are here to just bash the nokia n8 and claim it will fail in the market without any knowledge in how the smartphone goes. The nokia 5800 was slow and had a total mess in terms of the ui but up to now it has sold over 65 million units and with proper support nokia has updated the firmware of the nokia 5800 and fixed some of the little problems it had. The majority of people are looking for smartphones with nice features at the lowest possible price. By the look of things if nokia n8's price range doesn't rise too much when it hits the stores many people would go for this device since it has great features and at a reasonable price. Not everyone can afford devices like samsung galaxy (1000$+) only a small part of the market can buy such expensive devices. The n8 will not fail like how the n97 did.

Obviously you did not know where to look for apps. From what I see, Symbian has many many apps all over the net and not just Ovi Store. You should look in these places and you will find many apps that make other systems look obsolete. As for the UI, If you don’t like this there are many other homescreens and shells you can download to make it better, you are not stuck to one UI like the Iphone or Android.
