...its funny how you argue with specs..
android phones are afraid to use slower cpu.. NOKIA is proud to use underclocked CPU's.. see the 5800 @ 434mhz.. it workin.. and fast enough even @ 128mb ram..
higher cpu speed like htc's means less effective.. Can android phones do that???...

But anyways, if the price is right, also 470 euro, then this phone is not worth the money.
A Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is acutally a little cheaper than the Nokia N8 then.
But don't take me wrong about what i have said earlier about the N8. I still like this phone as it is, even if some of the specs are a bit low.
So i would take this phone any days over any iPhones though.

i think N8(370euro) screen resolution is outdated but it is still acceptable compare to HTC Wildfire(300euro). I'll buy 5800,n97mini than that HTC WildFire.

N8 is for not for geeks ......
So geeks buy Samsung galaxy s , x10 etc for 1Ghz or dont post stupid comments on n8.....
N8 is for larger audience (not geeks).....

a lot people do not know what the s,pec mean
screen res in n8 is enough for them
good gpu
256 ram in symbian is enough
the processor is fast enough
games on this phone work greeat
camera is the best
how can this phone not sell well, maybe they are blinded by the iphone hype.

Nokia ceo has said 2010 is a key year, so far, all the nokia phones announced are affordable including the n8.
I have a feeling the next flagship, symbian nd meego wont have 12mp camera, nokia will upgrade the other hardware specs. They may add physical keyboard
symbian for mass market
meego for geek
s40 for people who just want to make call and sms, and radio

ok let's say that I have the budget within the N8 price range. And I want to buy myself a good phone. Then, is there a better choice??
I agree that the screen resolution isnt outstanding, I agree that the proc isnt as fast as cortex A8 or 1Ghz Snapdragon. but see my friend, that's all the money I have, then what should I do??
If other people have more money than me and then they want to buy themselves a HTC HD2, X10, Samsung Galaxy S, it's up to them. But what about the people that only have the budget enough just to buy N8? Is it a smart choice to buy it??
Cause I believe so...

there is no use of complaining about the spec. Nokia will not change it. Symbian^3 is more important. When N8 release to consumer we will know if Symbian^3 fail or not. If Symbian^3 is stable less buggy than Symbian^1 i think its worth it.
What i personally want is a stable os running on my phone and can do everday task without a problem than having high spec phone n good UI that hv unstable OS. Hope to see less crashes for unknown reason in N8.

Look at the display resolution and tell me, ARE THESE GOOD SPECS????? No way its good. Specs are only blown up where it doesnt matter, processor is ARM11 and display is stoneage resolution. What about having better specs on the IMPORTANT things?
Nokia themselfes put out proof that its seriously underpowered, look at their video samples, skipping frames, not even my old N96 does that. Throw in more crap than the processor can handle and call it good?

Whats next mr nokia representative, diual sim and dual standby? LoL, Nokia following the koreans, never thought i see that happen. But ok, i guess HTC will go Meego some day, then we get a serious alternative.
Btw, i look at its specs as you suggested, and it says display is 640x360? How can one defend a price tag when using so badly outdated screen res? And i will follow the launch, and see if final firmware can record decent videos without skipping frames, and i know it will not. This device is underpowered and useless, HD video and 12mpix doesnt change that, its just your way of stopping a few tweens from going Samsung.

Anyone of you have ever used this phone? How can u say that its OS is slow? Its a diff OS version, a first of its kind.
So what u r saying are all mind-made and no solid proof. You are just hallucinating.
Nothing to debate about. If u dont like it, dont buy it.
Simple as that.
