Anonymous, 28 Apr 2010FYI, the N8 does not use AMOLED, BUT OLED, big difference.Actually, the AM part of AMOLED refers to "Active Matrix", which is how the pixels are "controlled". The OLED (organic light-emitting diode) part refers to the technology the pixels are made of. So, there is no difference between AMOLED and OLED.
Imagine the OLEDs as a bunch of tiny light bulbs, and the AM (Active Matrix) as the light switch.

I was thinking x10 ,nexus ,galaxy. Then along comes N8 and solves all ,a high spec superphone and also back with my symbian/nokia combination..I am happy.,

It uses more power than the Cortex and it's not as fast MHz per MHz, but then again, Nokia phones run symbian better than other manufacturers, even though the phones are not as good (hardware wise), so i'm giving the N8 a chance

Guiz ders no such a word like "super amoled" its only a marketng strategy of samusng... btw guyz just wait for the official review to dis fone they are just using the proto type one... just hold on

I think the phone will be great. i was waiting for a 12 megapixel phone from nokia for quite sometime. just hope that music quality will be as good as nokia n81 & not like n97.

This phone is going rock, love every bit of it, ive been looking for a new nokia to replace my Bugged N96 , and i think i i have found it it, might need to get more memory for this phone 16gb would't be enough with the 12mp camera,

Processor should have been 1GHZ.... At-least!
It's time and a while that Nokia must have come up with nothing less than a super phone. This is something which they can do and should do...N-Rulzzz

N97, when i saw it...it was totally my next phone and i went and bought it too! only to realize its touchscreen sucks! i mean, come on..its a touchscreen phone for god sakes, if it hangs coz u touch it too much...how is one suppose to use the damn phone? i like everything about Nokia, and N97..accept for its touchscreen. this is one thing that angers me! so i am really hoping the N8 is a mile improvement in regards to its touchscreen atleast!!! coz i really like the way it looks. But i am hoping i dont get disappointed. Otherwise i'll begin to belive Apple iPhone..is the BEST then!

Its sems good, I use N82 ands its do great pictures. N8 just could have cover for lens.
