Am I the only one who thinks the design is horrible?

Nokia should Start making a little bigger touch screens and there should be loads of 3D or high quality apps like Iphone , PPL now days want these stuff. Nokia should also change the OS the menu everything is same as other nokia phones which make it boring and old.

Its a fantastic effort for a first symbian 3 smartfone,,just like the first 5th edition smartfone was a superb effort and its sold millions...Look at how much has been done by the engineers to get this spec into the fone and its incredible battery life..

Hope they bring out a clamshell design altho after using the t-mobile pulse for a week maybe big touchscreens are growing on me a bit???

Has anybody here actually handled one yet? Calm down folks lol It's just another Nokia phone which hopefully no one will proclaim to be the iphone killer, "God I hate that sentence" I am no iphone fanboy but it is gonna take a whole lot more than this to kill of the iphone. The average users "about 95% of smartphone users" who quite frankly don't give a toss what OS is running on what phone are much more likely to go for the iphone. My friend works for the carphonewarehouse and says that if it wasn't for the unrealistic tariffs slapped on the Iphone it woulda sold a whole lot more.
Apple have cemented that position all the rest aspire to topple the Iphone but unfortunately are just conforming to the iphone form and standard sad sad sad.

With a faster cpu and android OS i would have bought this phone! but with slow symbian with not enough apps and games store has google or apple store...waste of money, but for calling and shooting video wow!

yeah those nokia haters are so pathetic.. They dont have the n8 yet and never had a symbian phone.. They love worshipping their useless phones because they have low IQ. They are satisfied with tinie winie features of the so called their 'mighty phone' but in fact it is all their money can buy

I really hope it wont have AMOLED display, because they awful under sun. And I do not really sure that samsung is going to sale super amoled to nokia. I want it be like on N95 - just perfect.

When its Nokia, its got to be perfect and fully loaded.
But Nokia, please don't spoil the party with buggy OS.

FYI, the N8 does not use AMOLED, BUT OLED, big difference.

It's a freakin nice offer at this price! 12MP w/Xenon cam, record in HD, free Nav, web TV, 16GB internal plus external card slot, 3 homescreens w/ tons of widgets, the design is finally good.. damn!!! Remember this is not even their big flagship phone, it's a semi-mass market touch screen at this price. Nokia still has some more up its sleeve to throw at Apple as the time goes on.

Nokia is finally pulling it together on the design department! They will sell this phone just purely on design, adding all those extra features is just killing the competition.

Hope it's not slow, it shouldn't be with 256MB of RAM. I have seen the green one with QWERTY in some blogs a couple months ago and it pretty much resembled this phone just with a slide out qwerty, I think once thats out Nokia will hold it's own quite well against the competition until Symbian^4 rolls out.

Everyone is posting about the small battery.. but its a lithium Polymer which is better than lithium ion...It is better then a lot of batteries and it has a LED screen which helps with battery life.

Mobile-review.com the English site as now showing how Nokia have got to change there ideas, they are more bothered about the services nowdays but still want to compete in the handset market, but like the reviewer says since the N95 they still have not produce a outstanding handset,as the N97 turned people away to buying Blackberrys or iPhone instead because of its software, but then says Nokia going to change there ideas in 2011,the N8 still does not seem to impress the reviewer,so Nokia better not let the N8 down or there sales will get worse as Sony Ericsson sales are improving but Nokias getting worse,so hope Nokia change there Strategy very quickly an be more bothered about about Handsets instead of Services
