HI Ray,
Thanks for your help.
I tried it but there are some broken Photos files in the phone after the format also and did found the reason i.e.when i take the photos or videos in my camera. when the storage is in my SD card and when i leave the camera or while operating the camera If i delete the files ex. photos or videos it gets stored in the default photo browser as a broken link.. is there any other solution for this. but even if i do not get any solution i am not going to worry about it.I am going to use the same till the belle is arrived .
But I do have one more doubt whenever i store the file in my sd card it is not stored in my default photo browser..
So is there anyway to do that or.

The easiest way to update is via the phones Over The Air software updater if it's available in your country. It wasn't available in the UK during the Anna update. The best way to update is via Nokia Suite when the official Belle is released.

That's a difficult one to call because the two phones have completely different operating systems. The N9 runs on Meego which doesn't feature on any other phone and never will. However I do like the physical design of the N9. By all accounts the Luminary 800 is supposed to be a very good phone with plenty of support from Nokia and Microsoft, so that would be a better choice over the N9.
The N8 is still a good phone though if you prefer to stay with Symbian.

bob@ph, 25 Jan 2012not easy to update symbian anna to symbian belle.Wrong. It's extremely easy to update to Belle. Did it weeks ago and never looked back. Anna is dreadful, and my N8 has a new lease of life.

george_k, 25 Jan 2012In my opinion you're comparing 2 dissimilar models. N8 when... morei dont agree. N8 is slow for webbrowsing, the 701 has much faster processor. 701 is still slow compared to N9 and so on but much faster than N8. As he said, he dont care about the camera. The 701 has FM transmitter and everything that the N8 has, and it has a IPS display. IPS has some advantages over AMOLED, the only thing thats really good on amoled is actually the contrast.
From the gsmarena review of 701: "The IPS technology promises 160-degree viewing angles and for the most part delivers. There's a slight but noticeable loss of contrast when you tilt the phone, but there's no color shift."
Surely 701 is the one to get, its both faster and has a better and brighter display, and still its cheaper. Pay less and get more.
EDIT: Ok i see now that N8 is cheaper than i thought, a bit below 701. So in value for money they are quite equal then. Still, if you dont need the very best camera then 701 is the obvious choice (for me) out of the two.

I've noticed something interesting. I usually have got screen saver on. When my n8 lays on my desk the clock is constantly on. I also have got case cover for it. Whet I remove phone from this case, i've noticed, that the screen saver is of, but as soon as a light falls on light sensor the screen saver turns on. I think it's interesting power saving option.

- Free Navigation GPS forever

- HDMI cable and DLNA to share or watch movies on a bigger screen.
and thats without any simcard yet.
Whats the use of a SGS2 three years from now? paperweight?

I read the news about skype on the n8fanclub,
it is news from nokia so it is true, and im sure video calling will be much appreated, and as for the widget not sure how it will look....
ps oh I only tried whats app once so I could be wrong am not sure cause I use fring,
to use fring just log off every time on the leaked belle otherwise you will not be able to use it, and you will have to flash it again....

and i li... moreIn my opinion you're comparing 2 dissimilar models. N8 when released (1 year ago) was the flagship of Nokia. The 701 is not. A fair comparison would be N8 vs N9 or lumia 800). The behavior of N8 as a phone and its built-construction quality is far superior to the 701 (you can look at the articles gsm_arena for the 2 models). Regarding the operating system both are using belle. And one last very imp. thing: N8 is made in Finland! 701 is not. (I bought N8 in Dec 2011).
