this morning i found a software update for my n8 .it tells me that the update is important .so i update my device.but when it restarted i use my browser and now it sucks .its all mobile view

i love my n8 ... get "gotomenu" by dzsoft makes for a great user experience ... i love using my phone. usb on the go, fm radio, tv out, best camera phone avail and i love s^3.
i dont want to upgrade phones, i only want an upgrade of ram

Ok. So I've had this phone for one year now. I gotta say it's still working as well as the day I got it.
There's nothing that this phone can't do, and there's no phone out there that can beat it hands-down. It's an all-in-one device, and I don't need anything else. It's been totally reliable whenever I've needed it.
GPS has saved my butt a few times. Got my entire music collection and satellite radio on the go 24/7, BEST camera ever - I've had some photos professionally blown up and printed that I've shot on this phone, has made some great art. DivX player, Angry Birds, Social media apps, etc etc etc....
If you've been wondering whether or not to get the N8, don't hesitate and go for it. This is the best phone out there yet.

The 7370 reset will remove all installed applications and media files (pictures, videos and music etc.) and restores the phone to an out of the box condition.
You can use Ovi suite to back up all your media files and SMS 's before the reset and restore them later. Don't bother to back up system settings though as restoring those will also restore whatever problem you may be experiencing.

I need some more clear cut info on *#7370#.
If I do this what all applications would actually be deleted. Am not worried abt Msgs, Pics or contact. Will it cause any problem after restoring. I don't mind losing Maps, CNN, etc. I just don't want unnecessary applications..
Please give me more info.

I'd have thought that Google would have welcomed Nokia with open arms if Nokia had shown any interest in putting Android on any of their phones, considering Nokia's massive portfolio.
Sales of Nokia/Android phones would have gone through the roof and eclipsed all other smart phones from other manufacturers.

I have to agree with Ray, What do you mean Nokia Android phone, lol, if you go to

you'll see they have antivirus for mobile platform Android, now why the hell would Nokia wanna make such a move to go with Virus prone mobile OS?

Nokia didn't bother releasing an Android phone because Android is unsafe and insecure. Not to mention Android is still limited as an OS in what it can or can't do.
What do you mean about the N8 being Nokia's first Android phone?

nokia want android but google can't want nokia because after 2008 nokia priveces symbian google don't go for nokia.
Nokia n8 has first android phone by nokia but google don't like nokia.

Do you get some sort of cheap thrill from spreading Bullcrap?
It happens every time an update is due. Some muppet starts posting rubbish like that.
The sad thing is, that if the update does get released by then you will post back saying you were right, but in actual fact you will just be very lucky.
We should all post a date when we think the update will be released, and one of us are bound to get it right.
