What flash are you referring to? The Xenon flash for the camera or Adobe Flash player?
If it's flash player then the N8 only supports flash lite 4 not full Flash 10.x.
If you're asking about the camera flash you just need to turn it on in the camera settings. If it's set to auto it will only activate in low light conditions.

Rohan, 04 Aug 2011galaxy s is better,according to me android is the best plat... moreonly software is not the only one option,there is hardware too so samsung galaxy s is plastic toy for me ,and android are hackable haker can stole your password if ur net surfer,be careful using android fone for purchasing online,,,

please help me....can any1 explain me the purple tint problem and if we get a phone without the problem then is there a chance for it to come......is there any other drawbacks for which i shouldnt buy this phone......thank you in advance

But sgs 2 has many more apps...

galaxy s2 much more better and faster
if you wont camera n8 great and also gps
for me i choose galaxy s2

If you want tons of applications and games buy SGS II.
But SGS II is much more expensive, you can not compare it with older N8.

You can download only few games from s60v5 or new HD games for symbian^3(NFS Shift, Assasin Creed,Avatar, and much more for free from ovi)
Or buy newest games : Asphalt 6, Dungeon Hunter,...
