aj2010, 02 May 2011they all work fine, but they r copies, not made by Nokia!
... moreBe more clear. I know that you're talking about fake nokias, but you can't say all china made ones are fake.
Nokia has a production unit in china too.
What you're referring to are these:

Mufaddal, 02 May 2011Hello, No laggy not does only come to changing homescreens,... moreYou should have said that you meant it's not very user friendly in the first play. Not being user friendly does not mean it's laggy.
To be honest though, I find symbian^3 phones user-friendly enough. Maybe not on iphone level but still very good.
Anna update will improve it.

AnonD-1393, 01 May 2011"except for the laggy interface."
If you mean ... moreHello, No laggy not does only come to changing homescreens, the user interface is not that friendly I would say, It is not created for touch, indeed touch was integrated. If you take apple, they designed the OS keeping touch in mind. Nevertheless it still has the best features in the market. I lost Nokia n8 before, and bought one another.
I dont know how people like Iphone with limited features and that too puppetd by Steve.

AnonD-2965, 01 May 2011Will therebe a anna update to n8.
Nokia is already busy ... moreThey said all current Symbian^3 phones will be updated to Anna.
Symbian won't die right away. It'll continue to live on low-end and mid-range phones. Only high-end phones will be WP7.

@Kasap and deepest_sense
Gorilla glass is scratch resistant, not scratch proof. They never claimed it was so.
Of course when you put your phone and your keys in the same pocket it'll get scratched.

Will therebe a anna update to n8.
Nokia is already busy with microsoft deal, I think they are going to replace symbian with windows mobile by year end..
Android is growing better and better these days, nokia will have to lose symbian.
It appears symbian had to create something better than wat they are doing nw.

AnonD-7451, 01 May 2011I love apple for onething, when they push something out the... more"except for the laggy interface."
If you mean the lag while changing home screens, then I must tell you that it's not lag.
This part is taken straight from N8's review:
"You might notice that the homescreen starts scrolling only after you have completed your swipe across the screen but that’s how it was designed and not some lag. Because of the fact that some widgets are side-scrollable the handset waits to see if you want to browse them or skip to the next screen."

I"ve had my N8 since February. The screen is perfect with no discoloration, no defects at all. The handset is a solid performer with outstanding and unmatched connectivity options. This is a great phone. The UI is Symbian (obviously), either you like it or you don't! I'm glad to be out of the IPhone drone world! Thank you Nokia for making such a great handset. This one is a winner!

Ray Hipkiss, 30 Apr 2011@Afridi. Anna is available now if you buy a C7 Astound,... moreHey Ray Hipkiss! You really seem like a reliable fellow here. I just want to ask. If by any chance, the defect free screens arrive and the Nokia Care Centers have them... Are they sure to repair the device without causing any damage to it? I once had a phone repaired, and there were obvious signs of damage in the casing of the phone. I really want my N8 to remain perfectly scratchless...
