Buy this phone in Dark Grey...
By the way, if you know how to use Symbian, then this phone is fast for you... New Symbian users will be annoyed at first...
Anyways it's very smooth, games open fast and it's just kills any phone in overall...
and design is so unique.
it looks like it's from the future... :)
This phone will be popular for long time and New huge Symbian update will make it even more awesome!!!

I an using n8 for last 5 months and was very happy till one fine day it suddenly switched off and i was not able to switch it on.
Nokia care people could not repair it and a new set was given in replacement, but new set has display problem white is not white & has reddish hue so other colors are also unnatural.
Any solutions/suggestions as care people donot consider it a defect.

it all bulshiu with nokia
hardly within 2 months i got lots of problem with my n8 they tuk 15 days to repair, didn't given replacement and stil not giving proper batery backup hardly 2-3 hours backup

AnonD-698, 20 Apr 2011@ wreck no no my friend processor is not fine..and android ... moreYou guys always talk on processor and clock speed but you forget that DPI in the N8 display is lesser then SGS and iphone4, this the most contribut in "the smoothy" of movement we look in the screen.
Any how N8 is one of the best camera phone and sound quality in the market at this time being, its a fact no need to debate.
Please check and try N900, its only 600Hz but better DPI then SGS, so very smooth, no laggi and no hang but the camera and cam are good but not the best.

I've owned the Vivaz and the N8
Of course N8 camera is 12 mp it should be better than vivaz camera and specially in night conditions cz it has xenon flash,but when it comes to colors sharpness and control,vivaz is miles ahead,not only with the phne screen even when u put both pictures on ur pc u ll see the difference,and with video recording for those who doesnt knw the n8 vdeo rcrding is not very gd it lags even when the are telling us that it do 30 frames per second.
and other than camera the screen responsiveness and the software are almost the same in vivaz and n8.
The 2 MAIN differences between vivaz and n8 are
Vivaz is the worst sound device on earth,its sound is very bad.... N8 even when it hasnt the greatest sound but it still way better then vivaz
the 2nd difference is when using both handsets u ll notice that vivaz is way faster than n8,its not jst becz vivaz have 720 mhz processor,no it responds faster than N8
overall vivaz is a very gd phone to its range it lags the sound..but better than its competitors in otherspec
N8 is gdd camera is gd,screen sound and evrthng is gd
not gr8 but gd exept for speed,It should be powered by a faster processor

The processor is just fin... more@ wreck no no my friend processor is not fine..and android can also run in 680 mhz but to make it faster smoother and no laggy and hanging in games & applications for which they have use 1ghz processsor ...
nokia n8 is not quick in response and sometimes laggy in between games and hanging are common problems.....not smooth as iphone and android (just a example)........680 mhz is just fine for n8 but not good enough ..at least 900 mhz nokia should start using.

I heard Jesus got one, so I convinced myself to put my hands on dark grey n8, man...it's a mind-blowing phone packed with completely new features, so I am also going to get oneida for my most assisted ba'al. Lol...cheers
