rdca, 12 Feb 2011Nokia's Windows Phone 7 concept revealed! N8,C7,E7 is upgr... moreHi rdca, same with me up to now I donot like windows mobilephone, but.....who knows after they work together their new WP7 is easy to use like I use maemo in my N900.
forst time I use N900 I think its will be be difficult to handle like window mobile phone, fortunelly its not, its Nokia....very user friendly.
I am sure they will create a user friendly WP7 OS like symbian.

This is nice, even after Nokias CEO verbally slaughtered Symbian the fanbois still think its good? is it really so hard to admit that "yes i was fooled to buy an overpriced slow fone with a dead OS"?

Symbian was thrown out of the high end and replaced by an OS that ppl doesnt want. No shame for Symbian to lose for Android and iOS, but losing for WP7 is pretty lame, you'd have to sit in a wheelchair with flat tires to come in behind WP7.

It's funny how all you fanboys are trying to save a dying OS. Symbian was a good OS before iOS and Android. But 10 years in the making with 3000+ people and it gets its ass handed back by two OSes that's less then 5 years old.

These people are in denial that Symbian is cancer, and they are the ones that is slowly killing Nokia like a terminal illness.

It's a good thing they walk out. I hope Nokia don't need to pay these people "unemployment" if there is such a thing over there.

Embrace change Nokia. I hope you survive. The 2160 was the very first cell phone I've ever used. And I've used Nokias up until the Motorola ROKR E6 in 2007, then iPhone 3G in 2008. I tried to stay with Nokia. I really did. But the Symbian OS was just not keeping up with the times. I had no choice but to switch.

What does that mean for already existing symbian users? Would be nice if we had the option of OS upgrade/change for existing phones, or better yet dual boot

I for one can't wait for Nokia to start using WM7, yes symbian has more features, but they always feel not finished to me. and hopefully Nokia will rub off onto microsoft and make them impliment alot of the features like Bluetooth file transfer, multitasking etc that wm7 is missing. But most of all I want when nokia says pr1.1 available its like iOS and is available to everyone & everywhere been waiting a week for my n8 update now.

Cant believe how much people (myself included) are caught up with these things. Interesting news, mind you. But such strong reactions! Lets see how much in practical term this move really benefits consumers. Minus the hype and OS fan loyalty, to what extent will it really improve the quality of our lives? Will we be better husbands, wives, sons and daughter, citizens, better people? Everything has its place in this world- God, family, friends, my job, even my beloved N8. Let's keep everything in its proper place. The way some behave you wonder if mobile brands and OS will soon be a discriminatory factor alongside race, color and class. Diversity is good. So is competition. I prefer to support that which gives me a choice than that which eliminate all competition. I hope the movers and shakers of the mobile industry are as passionate about us (US, not our money) as we are about their products. Just something to think about. Enjoy your N8s people.

abhi, 11 Feb 2011Hahaha... wp7 is worst when compared to symbian & maemo... moreIts version one. I had a g1 when everyone laughed about Android from preorder. We didn't have mms, video calling, video recording, copy and paste, turn by turn nav, and I can name a bunch more. Look where they r 3 yrs later. Same with the iPhone. Lets not even talk maemo. It will take a yr or so to get right but to u people who just started buying smartphones I got my first one in 2002. It was Symbian and still looks the sane today. Then I owned 3 windows devices b4 going to Android. Windows mobile had every option u just mentioned, so what make u think they won't offer the same functionality this time. Its a new os and will take a yr or so to get right. U need to stop reading articles and go play with one because WP7 runs circles around Symbian. And just to prove I ain't biased I still own a vibrant and a Nokia e73 and just returned my awesome n900. My HD7 Is the the best ever and I luv it.

This is what symbian offers but not wp7 -
