Just wondering, is this phone compatible with 2.5G network sim cards?

The n80 hasn't got a stylus,no s60 handset has touchscreen.As for memory well yes it takes a 2gig card but I advise you use no more than a 1gb sdmini.Why oh why didn't nokia put a decent cpu in this phone?It's very slow when you load it with applications,when I say load I mean HALF load as the n80 dosen't have enough program memory for a serious 2006 device.I've owned many series 60 nokia's and this one is not the great leap forward that I was expecting.WirelessLAN is a nice feature and the screen is very good but all in all im not impressed.

I have a question.
How does one surf th enet using this phone?
Does it come with a (stick) - not to sure wht the real term is - but it come swith PDAs that helps working with the touch screen

such a great phone...
but i cant stop whining about the slide construction hehehe
i really wish that Nokia made it spring assisted like Samsung, or the other slide phones of Nokia.
oh well, still a great phone.

but im not convinced about the value for money you get with a model like this.
i have a N6111 atm and its been a ok fone.
upgrading is the last thing i would do right now,N95 sounds good but for how much?
say $600 us dollars!
if its availible to me i'll give it a go!

You don't know what you're missin friend. I don't wanna sound like a Nokia salesperson but this phone is simply unbelievable! The new browser with MiniMap show webpages as thay're meant to be seen, not in the usual Small Screen Fomat. Plus, the Nivikey turns into a, wait for it, a mouse!! The photo quality is amazing and the screen is super high res. Simply put, this is the best phone out there (until perhaps the N95 launches)

hi,
there's no way i would part with my hard earnd $$$ for this fone,restarting and switching off etc........ its crazy!
i get my fones for free,which is a good thing.other wise i would not even bother owning a fone if its gunna behave like this model!

This phone is awesome, unbelieve features!!! but Please, Who knows where I can find software for this Model? there are some web pages where I can find software for N80?

The updates take a while to download. But that's cos I was using an EDGE connection via PC. All in all it's just over 64Mb of update :) Set aside 4h if you're doing this

I bought a black N80 (would def. recommend this colour over silver)and have been smiling evr since. That is until I heard about the imminent release of the N95, set to put this model in the shade! With regard to firmware updates I came across the Nokia Europe site, where the updates are available. You'll need to download an Updater programme which installs to PC seperate from PC Suite. Then you follow instructions on the Updater regarding phone Backup using PC Suite. You need to backup cos your phone basically gets overwritten. Then you proceed to get and install updates (incl Adobe Reader) through the Updater, which connects automatically. I was pretty happy with the new firmware and Adobe. Much of the N80's bugs notably the soft reboots, especially in Gallery mode, seem to have been sorted out. You can Get the Updater from http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate Good Luck!! :)

install the software at your own risk as some of the software might not be compatible with N80. I tried to install one software from that site and it says on my N80 "this software is not compatible". so i did not continue installing it.
i havent tried the other software yet but its up to you if you want to try some of them.

wel wen u change the cover u buy the whole houseing as black.. but u can do some changes of ur own.. carefully lift the silver plate.. and on the black housing, take the part off wer the silver part is supose to b on.. and put it on wiht superglue

i recently got my n80 and the vibration doesn't work.i don't if its supposed to be like that.if you guys are having the same problem let me know.or post back.
