"I just got a N80. How can I set up my WLAN to get internet wherever it is offered. ... Isnt there a way so that I can use all the wi-fi wherever it is offered without doing a config everytime?"
If a wifi network requires an authentication e.g. a wep key or other, you'll have to key it in, there is no other way. However you can create a number of access points and set you application (browser etc in ur mobile) to always ask for which connection to use for the internet i.e. u can select the access point.

Just bought the N80 a few days back. Found the OS (Symbian) a little sluggish, updated the firmware to version 4.xxx... today, lots of improvements. Owned a 6280 prev. and I feel it had a much better video quality. The Wifi feature is just awesome. Music playback is also great. Picture viewing in the Gallery section is very slow in processing pictures. Lots of features but a lot of room from improving the firmware (i.e. improving speed, work on it Nokia!). A little pricey for what u get.

I just got a N80. How can I set up my WLAN to get internet wherever it is offered. Because I tried at my friend's house and it turns out that it needs a key. After entering the key it works. But i was wondering do i gotta enter a key everytime i try to use to WLAN/Wi-Fi? Isnt there a way so that I can use all the wi-fi wherever it is offered without doing a config everytime?

either you update your firmware to the "latest" version or you can just install SMS Accelerator from the Nokia website. that program will fix your problem.

I wonder why when i send message, its pending so long and made my N80 hang. Evrytime i send message i need to wait for ard 5 minutes to complete it.
Is it originally or i had set something wrong?
Anyone can help me on this.

have been using this phone 4 awhile. change the memory card to 1gb. why is this that the phone hangs everytime when i sms.please advise.

As of to Battery life, well 2 options:
1) buy 4 batteries, they are cheap.
2) i saw a posting here, about modifying a BL-5C battery to fit in N80.
For those who disassembled the phone for more than 4 times- Be carefull, the screen cable brakes!!!
for those who buys a faceplates- well, there is a common problem, especially with phone faces from hong kong, THE LOWER LEFT corner of the metal plate on facia is not glued on good, therefore some creativity( and may be 1-2 morefaceplates to experiment on) are required.
MEMORY CARD ISSUES: there is nothing wrong with your phone, it's a 99% a memory card FAULT so buy good memorycard NOT FROM E-BAY!!!!
DO NOT BUY CHEAP MINI SD cards, i looked on DISCOVERY CHANNEL ABOUT memory programming of the SD cards, they can make 2 GB out of 512 MB but rate of ERRORS INCREASES in geometric progression(dramatically).
Firmware Update, well, don't bother if your thing works, also, fault of update may occur if your PC Uses low quality RAM, and/or/you have a memory utility, or you got bunch of crap such as programs, viruses and other memory resident data on your PC, as well as few other things that might interrupt it .
Camera- is GOOD, but you might adjust some settings on-the-go as the conditions changes (N73 does have a better camera-tried- and compared!!!)
when you have a software installed on MINISD card, it's good and also bad! e-mail me for details.
SLIDER: well, you unlucky to purchase a chineese assembled unit! Only solutions\
1) open up phone, and by using pliers
bend- in the rails(metal ones, the ones on the base of the phone not the top part)THOUGH IT"s a DANGEROUS METHOD!
2) safe and sound! BUY THE WHOLE NEW HOUSING(preferably genuine(runs about $80-100) and rebuild your unit.
DO NOT INSTALL SOWTWARE IF IT PROMPTS THAT IT's NOT INTENDED FOR YOUR MODEL! or else you'll be seeing crashes and not-funny system errors!!!
be reasonable with amount of installed software!
And last:
YOUR PHONE USES ONLY LOCAL MEMORY(NEVER A MINI-SD RAM)TO CASE THE WEBSITES! THEREFOR ON SOME WEBPAGES(LIKE E-BAY) YOU WILL SEE THAT MESSAGE OF " CLOSE SOME APP'S" WELL, THERE IS A WAY ARROUND-
INSTALL OPERA MINI BROWSER! AND USE IT INSTEAD OF BUILT IN WEB BROWSER!!!
