The nokia n80 has horrible coverage ....................... even if other phones costing below Rs 5000/- show full signal this phone shows just 2-3 lines signal and if there is weak signal in an area this phone shows no network.............please help..................i have spent all my savings to buy this phone ------ are there any atachments like antenna available? will a software update work??????????????

I wanna buy the N80, but I heard that its battery only lasts for one day, and that the 5 ways button is loose and made of poor quality. I wanna know how true that is.. I am also considering the k800i. I am impressed by its camera, and I am really confused which phone to buy. Opinions are most welcome...

To install any programs, I copy the installation file to \\memory card\others, then browse to this folder using 'file manager', and open it. This kicks off the installation. Im not sure if it really matters where you run the installation file from, I just use the same one. Happy installing

Ive had this phone nearly 2 months now. At first i was a bit dubious about its weak seeming slider, & its operating system. But ive come to LOVE THIS PHONE. The screen is unbelievably clear. Ive seen nothing close to it. The battery life is poor, that cant be denied, but its basically a good looking PDA. Converted episodes of the Simpons & tv programs look amazing. Almost DVD quality. The signal strength isnt the best either, but overall i'd recommend this phone to gadget lovers & people who will actually use its many features.

Nokia Oh Nokia ! I've waited so long for a masterpiece like this to be released. I can't really think of anything left out on this phone. I use it as my little baby / PDA.
And for the query; how can the N91's video rec. be better than this folk if N91's vid res. is half of N80 ? NAH - I don't think so !

I got the Upnp features working. I can now stream and copy music from my pc's to my phone using the galery function. The N80 also serves as a kind of remote. Pretty nifty! I can also sync the music wirelessly but it doesnt give me as many option as wired sync. Video is also good but bigger file sizes and bandwidth reuqired mostly.
Picture lovers will love this feature as well. Nokia need to add wirelss support to Lifeblog! :D
High res screen pays off nicely too.

I tried going to dogtoe website and to update update my firmware but its says page cannot be displayed... Is there another place to update the firmware???

Yes it does use wep and wpa, so it can access all types of secure networks :)
omg i still notice ppl complaining about how awful the battery life is and how it crashes... for gods sake listen to other people and upgrade the firmware!

Awful phone. Battery lasts half a day - less than that if you have a 1 hour call. The phone is too complicated for the memory to handle - this makes the page transition glitchy and time consuming. In the process of trying to get mine swapped for something else. Strongly advised you don't buy it!

does anyone know how to put a mpeg4 video on the n80 phone that is able to play or is there any converters to play mpeg4 on the phone? I can't seem to figure out how to put videos or movies on my phone. I heard it can be done.

PLEASE HELP. I live in new york and I own an n80. I bought it from plemix for a good price, and now im experiencing freezes, crashes, restarts, battery wont charge at times. My firnd has the same exact phone and he is experiencing the same thing. I called nokia US askin what to do they told me to call nokia uk, nokia uk wants like 40 pounds just to talk to me and i have to be a member of this club nokia thing that you cant join unless your from the uk. SO BASICALLY I CANT GET HELP FROM THEM. someone please help me out, i checked my firmware version and its like 5 months behind.

thanks for the update ben,,,My battery only took 30 minutes or so to charge which is why i thought it was a dud...ANYWAY this link below is to the new internet edition fone thats beeing launched but i cant understand because my n80 has all the sip function already built in etc but anyway its a smack in the face to us all to bring out a new edition after only a couple of months http://www.cellular-news.com/story/19104.php

anyone know yto setup wi-fi with home network? i just bought a new N80 ... ! can some 1 help pls? i take so long time to configure it.. ! but still cant to get connect to internet with home wi-fi !!

to raj,,,,,wi-fi should be backwards compatible with a& b types.....You have to plug in the headfones to allow the fm radio to work,,then go to settings to tune it in ,& because i only listen to 4 radio stations i manually tuned to exact station ...IF you are in uk only, O2 is just starting to roll out visual radio wich lets you interact with the staion to find out song playing or enter competitions etc !!....Shortly virgin will be bringing out proper tele using the lobster 700 model working off DAB network in uk...>>To person earlier i hav sim free black version but it purely a matter of taste their both the same inside..>>>im going to try to get to nokia center this week to upgrade to version 4 & ask how long does it take & if have to pay how much .,.,.thanx P.S.if you need to look at video or photo quality or specs of fones go to newmobile.com its a good site & earlier to day was looking at shots taken with lg"s new 5 megapixel unit & the video is very smooth.I am going off the track a bit but things seem to be going up another notch again in the mobile world lets hope the BATTERYS are heading in the same direction (PLEASE TAKE NOTE NOKIA ,,,SAMSUNG,,,OTHERS)
