Had it for 3 weeks, mainly extremely good functionality APART from the truly comical voice recognition software which I believe just randomly guesses at contacts to call, does anyone know of a way to record your own voice tabs? Bluetooth connection was a bit iffy at first ( got the new Nokia BH-800 with it ) but has settled down although Im not sure when the little blue light should be flashing or not ( again appears random! )

Beware pressure on the screen it cracks easily by the by ( broke mine by having it in a Sony Ericsson case with a metal popper opener with a tiny drop on the floor applying popper pressure on screen :-

one thing those having problems with memory read the manual. if you still having problems take it to nokia care or where u bought itand they will explain you how to use the phone or fix it (change it) if you have problems with them.

I just got an N80 today and I'm already having problems. When I first turned Bluetooth on in order to transfer the contacts from my old phone, it just froze up. I pressed buttons and it beeped when I pressed them, but did nothing. I ended up having to take the battery out.

Now, the music player won't work. Well, it works if I open the mp3s by going to gallery > tracks, but if I go straight to music player, it brings up a red exclamation mark and says "General: system error".

Can anyone tell me why this may be? Argh. I've got this phone for another 18 months!!

"Over two months Nokia N80 was bearing the burden of my main handset (I always use two phones at a time, one of which is always a smartphone). And after such a lengthy period of closer examination, I can declare that the N80 didn’t manage to match the requirements of an active user, like me. As a matter of fact, now the phone will acquire a special SIM-card for testing, so that all necessary tests will be carried out as required. I can’t say that I had primarily negative experience with the handset – on the contrary, I perceived it as I would any fine-made handset. The N80 can be made use of, although not quite comfortable due to crude software, but if you can do with certain limitations, it is OK.

So, if you can’t agree with me regarding the abovementioned shortcomings, or simply don’t use those functions, this model could be what you’ve been looking for. Nevertheless if you’re coming from the latter category, wouldn’t it be better to by Nokia N70 instead? The answer can be either positive or negative, depending on your attitude to image – the N80 tops in this field, at least owing to its price. Thus, I would advice you not to run to the nearest shop and buy it, better consider all pros and cons and take a weighted decision; anyway, it’s all up to you in the end. And after arming yourself with new knowledge, it shouldn’t be hard."

All you mobile buffins out their, i have a perplexing question for you. I live in Australia, havent got the N80 released here yet or the N91, but have either the N70/N90 or 6280 available on a 3G network. Should i wait for the release of N80 / N91 / N93 or be satisfide with the available nokia phones here in Aus. My main concerns is the reliability issues with current Nokia phones e.g N80/N91/6280.Is the Motorola V3 an option. I mainly require general phone usage, not alot of extra 3G stuff like video messaging, emailing or internet transfers. Can anybody provide a brief solution to my decison woes.

                                Hi everyone,

First of all I have to say that working for Vodafone made me a Phoneaddict and I had my share of phones throughout the year:-)
I just got the N80 and knowing Nokia smartphones I was expecting it to be a bit slower than your avarage Sony Ericsson.
The camera is great and all the edit functions for the pictures and video's is amazing.
Its a shame that there aren't many themes. Does anybody know where to find new themes or if there's software to create these themes? ( just like, windows mobile phones)
                                Thanks!

Can anyone please help me?? After many lengthy calls to Orange and Nokia, I finally have the wap and mms working on my phone, but whenever anyone sends me a photo message, I receive it as a tiny picture in the middle of the screen rather than filling the screen. If I send messages to other people, they come out the right size so I think it's a problem on the handset. Please can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

while sending sms, it gets so slow to complete the task. wonder if it's due to too much memory being used. anyone having the same issue? my software version is V3.0614.0.3 and RM-92. to those who're having the latest version, do you all have such problem? tks!

Thanks alot for your help. I will try again to see if it work. I still have a problem with my phone. When I turn off the devie and turn it back on. But when I turn it back on, it take a while to get to the Nokia logo ( which is the hand shaking picture) Is it suppose to be turn on fast not take while... Also how can I turn of the WLAN. I try to switch on the scan for availibility to never but in the option it only had one minute, 5min, 10min but it doesnt have never option. So how can I change it to never.. thanks
