Curious:
I agree that screensize is more important than resolution. But the gap isn't that big (espeically since N92's screen is just a little bit bigger, and because N80's res is quite alot sharper).
If you think stereo speakers are essential for mobilegaming then you better not get the N92, coz even though it has stereo output, you wont HEAR the stereo sound when u use it! The speakers are just too damn close eachother.
N92 may have "louder" and "clearer" playback through the speakers (through the headset they have the EXACT same quality). This is because 2 speakers are always better than one. Even if it's 2 mono speakers. But it depends on a lot of factors. None of us can know for sure which will have better sound. If you want the phone with the best soundquality get N91 instead, cause even though it has a mono speaker, it playes louder, clearer and better (quality wise) compared to both N92 and N80. It has a very big loudspeaker and better soundhardware.
What I don't get, is your comparison between the "media phone" 7710 and the "connectivity phone" 6680. It doesn't prove anything for N92 and N80. They are completely different models. Also, N80 is more of a mediaphone than N92 you know!! It has UPnP which means it can stream MEDIA to a TV/Hi-Fi/Stereo etc. This neat media advantage is unfortunatly not present in the N92 model. Neither can you say that N92 will have better sound than N80, since, as we all know, they both have the same soundhardware!
Lorna: Yes, I know you can get it unlocked. So what? You said N80 would be released in April. Well it might in UK, I wouldn't know. But April is not the date of the official release. It's late Feb or March. That's all I'm saying. I don't see how unlocking has anything to do with this.

San
The stereo music output is only available when you are listening to the music via your handsfree or headset. There is only 1 speaker output on n80 itself so there definitely mono output when streaming music using the loudspeaker. Unless there are both speakers on the left and right of the phone, else there no stereo since stereo must consist of left and right channel output.

To all: Just to let you know i am a female.
To San: The 6230i is a higher model than 6230 and that ended up being loads slower than 6230 it has to play catch up with everything you do!!! Thats why i put in the UK because i know its not the same release date for everywhere!!!
To Alex: Weather it was yourself or not that said the phone will only be available in april on vodafone so i said you can get it unblocked for all networks and get the correct settings!!

Entertainment
• Integrated digital music player with stereo audio. Supported file formats: MP3, AAC, m4a, eAAC+ and wma
• USB mass storage that enables easy drag and drop of files, such as music tracks
• Stereo FM radio with support for Visual Radio
• Multimedia player (RealPlayer) with 3GPP & MPEG4 AVC video streaming support
• Internet browser
those are some facts from the main NOKIA site,as you can see,N80 has stereo and it has 2 speakers also NOT one.
what alexx meant is that you cant get a stereo feeling since they are next to eachother but they are still 2.
take a look to those free few pics we have here in this site and you will see.

First of all, if you think N92 will have 16m colors in games... forget it. Not a chance. You wanna see how much more pixelated N92 is compared to N80? Well do this: Set your computer resolution to 800x600. That's N92. Now set it to 1280x1024. That's N80. The difference is bigger than you think. Try to do the same in a game. It will be MUCH nicer to look at at the higher res. ALOT more important than colors.
----- yes, resolution is oftentimes more important than colors in gaming, but screen size is OFTENTIMES more important than resolution... thats why i could conclude that nokia n92 is more suitable for MOST gamers than n80... also consider that n92 has stereo speakers w/c is essential for mobile gaming... by the way you just compared colors and resolution, you have left screen size. ...in a small portable device, screen size is a lot more important than resolution.----(n92 & n80 are "Phones" and are on the "mobile gaming",this paragraph doesn't mean that I'm sayin that n92 is the best gaming gadget-)
whatever you say about stereo speakers it's up to you but I "guess" n92 will have better sound performance (i'm not saying quality) (whether n92 has 2 small speakers and n80 has one big speaker according from you,n92 will still have better sound performance)
because n92 is more of a media phone than n80. so why will nokia place such better sound performance in n80 than in n92?
and don't ever ask me "HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT? YOU NEVER HOLD ONE OF THOSE PHONES"
I'm tryin to use logic of what's happening right now and what had happened before...
EXAMPLE IS---remember 7710(media phone)--(n92's counterpart before) and compare it to 6680(connectivity phone)-- (n80's counterpart before)... isn't it 7710 deliver better performance in sound than 6680? and isn't 6680 delivered better camera performance than 7710? so that only means media is to 7710 and imaging is to 6680... so does right now-- n92 has sound advantage and n80 has camera advantage.
"And by the way. N-Gage QD is NOT fine pixeled... 172x208 on a 2.2 inch screen is not what I call fine pixeled"
------ yeah... it's really not fine pixeled... but i'm just trying to "EMPHASIZELY CONTRAST" the difference in their pixels, that's why im using coarse and fine...
it's 176 x 208, not 172 x 208. and it's only 2.1 inch... if it has 176 x 220 then that's the 2.2 inch---(this only applies to pixels as large as those of N-gage,6600,6680 etc.)

"Have you not heard of UNBLOCKING your phone and getting the correct settings for your network!!"
What the hell are you talking about?? 0_o What does that have to do with anything? The phone wont come out in April, it will come out BEFORE April! Maybe you thought I meant it would come out after? Well I never said that, and I know perfectly well that it's possible to unlock phones.

spoke with local nokia distribution centre today, they said n80 will be there end of this month.
According to nokia engineers which i know, this product is so advanced that it will take at least one year before any competitor will have something comparable. price will be around 500eu, but this is cheap for what you get...

seen from the article which did not specify the processor speed... either 220 Mhz or 300+ Mhz... but if it is really 220 Mhz, the phone will ended up being a very slow phone.

Curious:
"----- hey do you know what is proportion??? the one you have done is only subtraction! if thats how you compute, then it must also mean that 16M is 15,999,744
times better than 256k..."
The point is that you can't compare features like that. And by the way I think you mean 15,744,00. N80 has 256,000 colors, not 256.
"may i just ask you one question... which is more comfortable for "MOST" gamers, coarse-pixeled colorful 2.8 screen OR fine-pixeled not so colorful 2.1 screen??? i guess most gamers will choose coarse-pixeled colorful
2.8 screen!!! why??? because they'll be squinting in the 2.1 screen!!! and by the way, do gamers need so fine pixeled screen???"
First of all, if you think N92 will have 16m colors in games... forget it. Not a chance. You wanna see how much more pixelated N92 is compared to N80?
