Hi does anyone having similar problem that the fm radio does not sound smooth in powersave mode?its kind a power not enough to feed the radio itself.?is this normal for n80?i have to put slide as a background so that it does not turn to power save mode whilst listening to radio???pls anyone have idea?to solve.thks and highly apreciated

Hi guys, the problems of N80 really encouraged me to send it to nokia service centre. If u ppl want n80 as a music phone then just go for an audio adapter(3.5mm standerd jack). Cheers ;)

Wel i just got my standard N80 a week ago, yes its got everythng the Internet Edition has basicaly, its got Wi-Fi 802.11g

As i know that N80 have 2 kind of N80,standard one and internet edition one. Can anyone tell me N80 standard one have Wi-Fi? Please,thanks for your kindness.......Because i find that the phone is very smart indeed.Thanks.

please help,nokia n80 just shutdown after 10 minutes of using.When i start again,she working and again shutdown after 5-10 minutes of using.

I do not agree that the battery lasts for the full 3h talktime. I sometimes fully charge my phone and make about 1 hours calls in total and then I need to recharge. I've taken this up with a sales person at a cellular shop and was told the reason why the battery life does not last is because of the colour screen...... It this true or is my battery faulty? Regards

n80 is really cool, its rich display gives pleasure using it and specs r amazingly good being same as n93 and n93i,, so why not to go for n80 when hell of difference is there in price and moreover n80 is smart in size.

i've used N80 for 3 months, i found the reception is not good, the signal bar always not full. in some places it will become no network, but my friends(W810i) use the same sim card... the signal reception is much better than N80. although the function is well, the poor reception make it becomes worst.

n80 internet edition is a full phon it is not good in bloutoth it is v1.2 bloutoth

oh for the person who asked about the wlan (802.11b and 802.11g) u can google it, the facts i know so far is 802.11b is cheaper but slower (11mb per second plus it cannot be connected to 802.11g)
and with 802.11g it is much faster (54mb per second plus it connects to 802.11g and 802.11b, also 802.11g is more newer and more widely used now days)
so yeh both are just wlan its just that 802.11g is faster and more upto date

OMG how can u say the n80 is bad....its a mad phone...3mp camera, bluetooth, wireless lan (wifi), voice tag, office, a really good music player, video call(3G), radio.....there are so much features...just check out the specifications.... if u look at most phones they have like half the features of the n80, the n80 is a quality top of the reange business mobile....and just like most business mobiles it comes with so many features that are not included in most mobiles.
If ur considering getting a phone and ur not use to using all the features the n80 offers...than there is no point getting the n80.... the n80 is for ppl who are use to the symbian OS, i think for any one who is new...just stick with somethig like N70 or nokia 6288...
oh and for all those ppl who keep on saying things bout the battery life.....u should let it drain to the lowest possible then recharge...that way u get the most of ur battery...plus there are ways to save power
such as turning bluetooth off wen not in use, and also turning off wlan wen not in use, also u can adjust the screen brightness and put sleep mode on and also set the screen to turn off quicker (standby mode).....plus there is a program called "taskspy" where u can shut down programs that ur not using...coz leaving programs open wen ur not using them can drain ur battery quicker on any phone.
my phone usually lasts 2 and half days....and i usually listen to music for 3-4hours a day and also play games....
so battery life shouldnt be a problem.....coz i've seen phones which run out of battery in 1 day without even any use
well i hope my comments help people who are intending to buy the n80 and ppl who need tips on how make the phone work better for them

never buy n80
n80 has very very poor battery life..moreover we cabt see balance on our n80 by requesting..its a firmware problem..
n73 is 100% better then n80 in camera, sorroun sound, big screen , camera lens protector, better battery life,better looks..
go for n73 if u dont need wifi

I think ur phone is Temp. dead thats b'cos it has happ. to many of those trying to updade through internet....It is always advisable to get the firmware updated by the authorised Nokia service center.
Give it to ur nearest Nokia service centre.

i have the same problem with you michael.. sometimes it appears both of the signal and the 3G sign.. but only for 1 second.. after that all i have is sim card registration failed.. dunno it's the phone or my sim card who has the trouble. can anyone help us? thanks

Helloo, could someone please tell me what's happened with my n80, coz it's very difficult to have the 3G access,no sign of 3G at all below the signal bar eventhough I've set the network to dual mode or UMTS mode...:( but when I use n73, evrything with the 3G goes well...I use the same sim card at the same place...could some one please help me....?Thank you so much guys...

I really need help!!
While updating my N80 (internet edition), the update was disrupted with a window that stated "Phone Recovery" and it stated for me to remove the battery and charger, then put it all back in and try and power on the phone. After this was done, it still didn't turn on.
What does this mean? Why did it happen? Now my phone won't power on or anything. When I hook up the wall charger to it, it won't even charge.
Nothing happens, it seems as though my phone is just dead. Can this be repaired? I did nothing to it while it was hooked up and randomly this happens, it just updated and then randomly the phone recovery window popped up. The update did not finish though, it was about 70% done. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!! I just bought this phone today.

I dont know the performance of this phone, but i still believe my husband, as he will get a good phone, so lets wait and see..
