Sounds awesome. I can't wait. I recieve my N82 Black, friday. I am excited to see the camera quality and how it compares to my K850i. I am also excited about all the other functions.

just bought a phone today here in dubai. i was supposed to get the n95 8gb because ive always liked this device since time immemorial, but when i saw the n82 in black which i criticized for so long, i was enamored. i got it right away without second thoughts. it's a lovely phone! got it for 1,598 dirham. it is supposed to be delivered to me by next week but i can't wait. i already took it from etisalat shop. this is the best phone i've ever had. haven't explored all the features yet, only the camera. images are so good. video is crystal clear. it's comparable to the sony handycam i used to see from my cousin. gps is not working though. i dont know maybe theres something wrong in my location. i will be exploring all its features one by one. before i must admit i didnt like it. but now i love this phone so much!

hi, i just bought n82 black 2 days ago and i am finding it hard to transfer videos from pc. after sending the video to removable F and saving it to my videos and disconnecting the usb, i cant find the file where i located it. what i do is i go to tools,file manager, my videos then options, find, find the file..the file appears but i cannot open it. it says that "unable to open. file not supported".. but if i download mp3 or images it simply appears in the music player or images. can this phone transfer saved videos from pc to phone? anyone?
..i downloaded real player in my pc so i can download videos from youtube and since this phone has a real player i assumed that it will play files supported by realplayer..

My question was not concerning wifi but on h... moreThe reason for lousy GPS on the N95 is the placement of the GPS antenna at the bottom of the handset, meaning your hand blocks the sats signal (great design team blunder!!)
The GPS antenna is at the top left on the N82, and mine locks on very quickly, and gets incredible accuracy with Garmin XT installed.
Sports Tracker is also a brilliant program to track your journeys/walks/bike rides etc, and overlay them onto Google Earth.

Having installed Garmin Mobile XT, I have much more detailed maps than the bundled NokiaMaps, but cannot get the proximity alerts to work at all.
I have POI loader and have tried everything I can find on POI sites, including manual entry (setting distance etc).
The BMP picture displays as it should, at the location it should, but no sound (even from default setting beep).
I've also tried .wav - 44100 16 bit mono/Mp3
but still no sound.
I wonder if you know any answers or solutions.

curious, 17 Jul 2008just wondering.. if the colour of the keypad would come off... moreOn both titanium and black versions, the alphanumeric buttons share the same color with the rest of the keymat laid beneath the casing. I don't think what you say would happen. But as with any keypad, it would be better if you would use your fingertips instead of your fingernails.

yeah it mad all the nokia owners fight. the n95, n95 8gb and n82 are basically exactly the same.
and btw the GPS in the n95 is pretty good.
i never used it until i actually got lost one day. it takes a while to get a lock (if you just leave it outside it gets it in about 30 seconds) but it is very good at hanging onto locks.

The GPS in N82 is good and once again it's only my point of view...and I am not sure how you feel once you use it...and i am sure it will be much better than N95..
The N82 camera was fantastic producing detailed and precise pics...worth to have such a good camera phone which can competite a standalone digital cameras..Recently i compared the N82 camera quality with my friend's Sony T-Series Cybershot digital camera....and the N82 was equally good in all shots performing much better in some occasions than the digicam pics!!!
