Lately most nokia phones have dropped down in quality.
Nokia also has to improve the screen, they have make the screen more than 4 inch and make it LED full HD or somethin closr which will be better than the i9000 which has a super amoled screen.

Nokia should not worry about the price of the phone, but instead try and develop and improve the n9.

1)- they don't increase the RAM & ROM
2)- Their processors are always behind other phones.

If at least they consider the above an improve their hand-sets, really it will be awesome. If Nokia is going to keep this RAM, ROM & processor till 2011, then this N9 will be CRAP, cos by that time many phones will appear with high RAM,ROM & processor. Also, we should not forget the 2 strong competitors ( HTC & Samsung ) they were able to provide power devices by 2010- Galaxy S i9000 & HTC Desire HD.

Also,For example, the E7 is an awesome device, but has 2 CONS:
    1)- Ram.
    2)- Processor.

    other than that, Excellent.
so it is just a matter of allocation & collecting the right pieces and implementing them in their devices.

    Regards

I am expecting the n9 to be better than the i9000, if your planning to go for a high end phone then you should not worry about the cost. N9 is supposed to be a high end phone, but for me they still have not proven it.

SFAN, 20 Oct 2010Well, think about this... In computer, would you get Intel... moreIn terms of computers i would go 4 d i7.

The specification does not say what type of ram the n9 uses, all it says is 512mb ram. Then what about the rom, the i9000 uses 2gb rom where as the n9 uses 1gb.
For me 512ram is not enough, specially since the n9 is going to be released next year. This phone should be better than the i9000, but when you compare the 2 phones the i9000 is better.

Look at the screen on the n9, it very poor quality when compared to the i9000.

Many people say that this is not the official specification. Lets wait and see whether the n9 will be better than the i9000. Cause i am plannin 2 buy either the n9 or the i9000, depend which is better.

your spec list is just too much for a phone - the specs rather fits a tablet.. i hope the meego table brings about some changes in the tablet world with some multi cores and multi threading and full HD screen (if iphone can fit 960 by 360 in 3.5 in screen then tablets can fit 1080p in like 7in screen too - well the cost matter too though).

I really wish to have a meego phone and windows 7 tablet

In computer, would you get Intel QX9770 or Intel i7?

If Nokia can use newer RAM chips as well as Newer processors that work more efficient with minimum battery usage, then it should be good.

It is a cellphone after all in a small handheld device.

Also, Samsung i9000 is made of mainly cheap plastic. These new Nokia phones have steel, aluminum, or high grade plastics.

And look at this way, Samsung phones are still very glitchy despite having Android 2.1 and 2.2

And yes, I do have samsung phones and I feel Nokia is more stable than Samsung even with their refinished Symbian OS.

The samsung i9000 galaxy s was released in June 2010 and it has a 512mb ram ,2gb rom ,ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and a super amoled screen.

The expected release date for the n9 is 2011. Therefore it will be good if this phone has better specs.

For now the samsung i9000 galaxy s is much better than the n9.

Personally, 512mb with 1gb rom as well as 1ghz or 1.2ghz processor will be at tops right now due to the technology on batteries.

I'm sure MeeGo will be battery hungry like Android devices.

You guys need a reality check, N9 won't have 12mp camera unless you want it to be fixed focus with bad quality and high noise. Plus, the module will be big.. it'll stick out like on the n8.
Nokia N9 is made to be a tablet phone... you can't have all in one.

TFT screen is believable since n900 was TFT. They may have it as AMOLED not Super AMOLED (Samsung only).

There won't be a 5mpx camera, it will be 12mpx C-series already got 8Mpx and also the cheapies S60 getting 5mpx already, why would people still think Nokia is going to push out 5mpx to Flagship device? Qualcomm CPU- are you seriously out of your mind? Nokia got a deal with TI so it won't be a Qualcomm CPU, 64GB? lol internet 32GB and MicroSD 32GB not internally. So much bullshit listed here.

Only thing I know for certain is that two of the specs the camara and processor is wrong.

The camera will be a 12MP dual led with carl zeiss optics.

The processor will either be a ARM cortex A8 1GHz+ or a ARM cortex A9 1GHz+.

These two facts are unofficial information from someone from nokia corporation itself.
