Gsmarena writes the standby time claimed by the manufacturer.
No phone on the market usually performs the time the manufacturer claims.
However I have this phone and I can say that if you leave it in standby mode the battery can last even 4 days.
With a medium use the time is reduced to only two days.
I know that 2 screens should need more power than one, but in standby mode the active screen is only the small one, so the battery can last enough for this phone.
Also the newer technology used allows higher power savings.

I'm just wondering why GSMarena says that N90 can last for 290 hours stanby time when you guys keep on complaining that the battery doesnt last long so does it mean the information about the battery life here by GSMarena is not true or you guys are just trying to bad-talk the N90? No offence.. Just wondering..

Just bought one recently. Fantastic phone cum camera if you have little ones at home. You can easily capture those fantastic moments when you out with them. Two set backs is that the battery don't last that long when you have plenty of calls and secondly it is a bit too bulky.

Forgetting the miniscule size difference why have they only put a battery in it with less power(ma)than my old monoscreen phone which only talks an txts.I know technology is better but the bigger battery hmmm nokia are not getting it in balance at all.IF you build a bigger car you need a bigger engine & once before a problem occured where nokias batt could not cope with dowloading off internet & the solution was to only d/load when charger is plugged in.i am using nokia 6680 but my p900 lasts under heavy strain but uses a 1260 lithium polymer battery!!

Can you turn the flash diode "on" manually, so that you can use this as a torch/flash light for shining at stuff in the dark??

the fact that the 'previous nokia fan' is correct. most of the nokia phones are symbian
but actually common ppl do not need symbian. And among hundreds of symbian nokia phone, only 7710 that has the touch screen... that is.. lame?
They should change the strategies ^^ SE got better strategies, id rather call it smart. Their symbian phone is only the P series, and all P series touch screen ^^ its PDA, the true symbian, not half symbian, otherwise they just make normal phones.

ya i agree with you jB
but my opinion is
why we call a phone ?
a phone is a mobility device to people so normally we take phone outside not bringing laptop coz as compare the size phone an d laptop the laptop are bigger but if u buy more expansive laptop then the size will be smaller at home i use pc
and soon the sony p990 is gona rock the market again !!!
i am not interest about nokia phone anymore coz they donno whats is customer needs
i can say in 30 people in malaysia maybe only got 1 people are really know about symbian and get use it !!
so why nokia still making all phone have symbian ? it should like sony make phone more interesting !!
they are four thing nokia didnt improve
1)the sound quality
2)display qualilty
3)the phone size
4)the battery life
and nokia only have one model have touch screen 7710 others dont have ..
if nokia can improve these things then only i will support nokia.

TO ALL PEOPLE WHO LIKE THIS PHONE
To tell the truth, this phone has too many features,BUT my device is much better(17' TFT LCD screen,80GB memory, very fast menu, there is also a camera.)Yes that's right,
I'm talking about my laptop!!
AND with a 3G vodafone connect card is also 3G anable!!!!
People, you have to understant that it is not only the functionality that counts, but also the bigness. If any mobile was that big, like N90,it would have the same features.
But do you realy want such a big mobile? Then why dont you buy a laptop?(and add to it a telephone line)If you want to compare devices(and that is what u want)must take into consideration EVERYTHING.Not only the features but also the bigness ,the weight and the battery life(since we are talking about MOBILE devices). This phone has very very good features, but on the other hand is very big, heavy and the battery sucks. So there is good and bad points. It is not perfect. Is there anybody who can tell me why 20x DIGITAL zoom is more important than a good battery life? No, coz this is subjective. It depence on what u want.SO THE RIGHT ANSWER IS THAT THIS PHONE IS THE BEST FOR YOUR NEEDS , NOT THE BEST FOR EVERYONE COZ ALL THE PEOPLE DONT HAVE THE SAME NEEDS.AND I'M NOT TALKING FOR MORE NEEDS OR LESS NEEDS,I'M TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT NEEDS!!!!Y cant tell me for example that vibration is not very important. For u maybe, but for me and for other people it is.
So u know what?I think that the BEST 3G mobile is my SE V800.coz there are too many feature in a very small device(for a 3G phone)And when I will be listening to my mp3 tracks ,u people will cast about for your charger.
Thanks,I'm not a blind SE supporter ,just use your mind.I had a lot of mobiles(and 4 nokia)but I'm not happy with nokia(always too many software bugs)
Any reply will be acceptable
