It must be a joke or missprint as the phone is sold for £ 525 where I live, and that`s without a subscription. But then agaion everybody sets their own prices. If it is true then I can`t imagine them selling many phones.

        Mark.

As for the MP3 player...well. I just select a song press the button and the MP3player automatically starts playing. There is no way it could be any easier. Although it is not a "walkman" phone I find the sound and player very good. Although I have never owned a phone of this level I have realy nothing to compare it to, but in my opinion it is good. Currently I have downloaded 20 MP3 songs. The different "important" persons in my phonebook have MP3 songs attached to them as ringtones.

I have take a self portrait of myself... if that counts :o) No problem there. There is also a delay function if you want to have time to "get into position". As you can turn the camera around you can see the result on the display before you take the picture... no more taking a picture and then turning the phone around to see if the result was good.

Does no-one take self-portaits with friends?!

            You can't do that with a K750i or a W800.

I meant that the memory card I bought for the 6600 was 256mb, not 215mb since they don't exist.

First of all if I where to take the phone back to the shop I would take the 512mb memory card out of the phone and replace it with the standard 64mb memory card I got in the origional package. I had Nokia 6600 and used a 215mb meory card that wasn't Nokia, it was far larger in capacity and I didn't have any problems with it. Of course I kept the origional 32mb memory card included. If something where to go wrong with the phone I would simply get a new phone through the warranty and put the memory card I bought into it. I agree that Nokia products are better to have but whats the point when you can pay a bit extra to have more memory, and plus it's only a memory card so people don't care what make it is.

The 1GB RS-DV-MMC (MMCMobile) card will be out Oct/Nov.

Is there no way you can use the standard RS-MMC? Nokia are so annoying to always do this kind of thing!!!

                      1. Proprietry headphone jack so you HAVE to buy a Nokia set or adaptor.

                      2. Stupid cards that almost NO card-readers can handle yet.

                      3. No vibration for ridiculous reasons.

Also, how user-friendly is the MP3 playback? People go on and on about it for the N91, but never even mention it for N90.

                            Sonners

Call me strange but I only buy equipment from "Nokia" to my Nokia phone and Sony Ericsson to my SE phone (If I would have bought one). If something happens with my phone and they find some component that are not "made" by Nokia or the appropriate company, I might have trouble with the warranty.

In addition to that I feel safer using components that are made by Nokia in a Nokia phone.

If I buy a product I realy like I usually support the company through purchase of their products.

I do know that most people do not think like this and that`s ok. Everybody should buy what they want, this is just how I do it.

Another aspect of this is the "lower prices and better service". A long time ago I experienced that by going to the same store all the time I would sometimes get products at a reduced price being an regular customer or (VIP). The service I recieve from a store is also much better by being a (VIP customer). After a while you will get a gold or platinum card and even more advantages. This is more useful when shopping for fashion clothes but it also works at the mobile store. On several occasions when entering a store with a VERY long line in front of me the store manager personally takes me to the side and helps me.

                            Just my 2 cent.

You can get a 512mb Dual Voltage RS-MMC now. They are available from many sites over the internet. I myself have just bought one for my N90.

                                To archie.

The phone (In my region) comes with a 64 MB memory card. You can upgrade it to 256MB which is at this point in time the larges memory card you can buy for the N90. It is enough for about 1 hour of recording. When you are finished recording you just download it to the computer, empty the memory card and then you can start recording again.

The video recording ability is amazing. Even at max resolution it runs smooth. The playback on a 21" screen will be very good even if you run it at max screen size. I play my recordings on a 21" Hitachi screen.

                                  To Alejandro

The 10 seconds was just a joke. It only takes 1 second to activate the camera. I had just seen many people saying that it takes a long time... guess they never tried the phone. The thing is that I found the majority of negative remarks about the phone to be false. The camera and video recorder is amazing. I had real doubts about the recording feature but it proved to be outstanding.

Yesterday I was customizing the phone with MP3 and images from my computer. I also upgraded the memorycard to 256 MB.

Hi! I need some advice. I'm planning to buy the N90 and I was wondering how the video is. If you take a video with it using the highest resolution, and played the video on a 21" TV, how will the picture be? VCD or VHS quality? What is its memory card? Standard MMC or Mini? Can I buy a 1 gig MMC and replace the one in the phone for more memory/pics/and videos? Please give me all the info you can. Thanks!!!
