I experienced the same problem while connecting the USB drive to my tablet..
I googled it & found many people like us facing the same issue.. :(
Finally, I was able to find the post of the person who I think, has been in the developing team of the application h-e-n.. Below is his post in which he has explained what should we do before installing h-e-n application.. It requires some coding in X_terminal, simple enough though, so be prepared for that.. :)
I will try the same tonight & will post my experience here..

N900 is a perfect mobile phone in every sphere. Of course technology is changing rapidly but it still remains as the best phone 4 me..

thanks dude.my problem now is video calling.i treid the video call tru skype.im upset cuz the screen apears very black.
this phone is awesome,but its not a computer phone for me.maybe we can say its a computer but in an old version.coz the specs is very low. it has only 256 RAM.now adays the minimum requirments for opening applications in FB are 512RAM..
i tried to download ovi to my laptop,and its good.i can sync my N900 with my gadget.i can drag,copy and paste videos,musics and pictures no sweat.
people dont expect that the internet of this one runs faster coz it has limited RAM.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2010hi there,he least i am prepared to take is R3000,the phone ... moreCheck the calendar man, its almost 2011, no way you can get $400 for a used N900 now from enlightened people (ie ppl who hang in GSMarena to gain knowledge).
You have to find a buyer who doesnt know much about cellfones.
