Thanks "KOLOS" for ur help dear. and ur english is good. it's good that u r helping th people here and that is enough.. but "Kolos" i have installed few softwares on my phone which i love alot.. i dnt want to miss them in order to reflash my phone.. is there anyway that i can backup my entire phone settngs including software so that i can again restore them aftr reflashing??

neil, 12 Oct 2010hey guys im trying to acsess facebook on wap service , but ... moreso you can't access wap internet at all? does wifi work? if neither wifi or wap work, then it could be the phone's fault. but if it's just wap that doesn't work, then ask you service provider about the appropriate wap settings for your device.

I recommend to install MPlayer + SiB (GUI for MPlayer).

skype is already integrated. Maybe Indian firmware version is somehow different compared to international.
How-to skpye:
1. tap on Clock
2. select Availability
3. select Accounts
4. select New
5. select Skype (there is also Facebook, Google Talk, Jabber, SIP, OVI).
6. fill you skype account data
If you don't have these options, then the only solution is to reflash firmware with the international (global) one.

Who experience problems with sites where is flash 10.1 demanded, should install "Tweak Flash plugin version". Application enables changing N900's browser flash version info (faking sites about flash version).

Dear Experts
I faced a weird issue. I was having around 80 video clips including movies and sitcom episodes. Everything was fine till yesterday. I was browsing through application manager for new media applications and I installed VLC player, SM Player and Media Player.
After that I tried to play some movies and episodes in these new players. I did not find them impressive. VLC got installed but I could see its icon but only the name. So I decided to uninstall all these applications. Now when I go to my N900 media player, it shows only 30 video clips. I have no clue where have they gone. I connected N900 both in PC-Suite mode and Mass Storage Mode and could not find those video files.
This is weird. I have not even deleted any of these. I have no clue what happened.
Every suggestion will be appreciated guys!!

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2010the n900 does come with skype out of the box, you don't nee... moreya, there is no skype available for indian versions, even i am from india and i know about that..
i am afraid but the only thing that will help you is to reflash your mobile to a international firmware as indian firmware wont support it no matter what you do..
i know you dont wanna do that but i think that its the only option if you wanna have skype on your phone...

Plz guys, i just bought my N900 and cannot find my pin code. Im sure that is Nokia's fault because i am smart guy. I know it because i used to have an i-phone.
