Seems like they are planing to pull out another gun mobile device in mid 2010 and will be porting Maemo 6. Whereas our Pre-order device Nokia N900 might be long dead in 6months then what should we do?

how come it do... more1. There is an Fm radio & voice recorder
2. U getting a mobile computer and u r conserned about MMS. Use your EMAIL dude.
3. Tv receiver? It's not a bloody TV set, it's a PHONE
4. 5mp on a carl Zeis lens is much better than many 8mp camera phones
5. I agree with the lack of digital compass. There r a lot of applications in Android, based on that piece of hardware. Also really helps in navigation apps

i am waiting for n900 more than 6 months.
how come it doesnt have
mms,didgital compass,tv receiver,8mp or 12mp camera,voice recorder,fm radio installed.
pls install this features to this phone

if Nokia is going to start launching the Maemo6 in 2nd Q of 2010, of course we will get it after 4 to 6 months from announcement, which means end of 2010, so at least we enjoy the N900.
Second thing, if we are going to say: ohh, Maemo 6 is coming or bla bla bla phone is on the way, then we will never ever buy a phone or enjoy any kind of features,,,,,
Therefore, when Maemo 6 comes, then we will talk about it..:)
Now we have to focus on the N900 ( really admired device)m and try to make it top of the mobile by sharing the ideas, - & + points in-order to have powerful software update...

vinny, 02 Dec 2009radio is already onboard on the N900. transmitter and rece... moreactually he is right nokia announced that the next maemo device will hit the shelves in the 2nd half of 2010 with maemo 6 on board so whats the point of getting the n900 :S unless nokia will upgrade the firmware to maemo 6 which i highly doubt don't get me wrong i like the n900 lets hope maemo 6 will be available for it officially or unofficially

now as far as maemo 6.
it's kind of silly what you're saying.
it's like if people didn't buy an iPhone this year because they know that in a year apple is gonna release a new one.
maemo 6 is not around the corner.
nokia just started maemo 5 and it's still hard to get your hands on a N900.
so you have plenty of time before you see maemo 6 arriving on the market.

the milestone in europe only gets google map.
not the voice navigation for free.
