Anonymous, 07 Sep 2009there is something that se fans need to know:- X2 is man... moreso? hw sure are you that nokia produce all their phones from a-z? as long as the phone delivers we are fine with whoever produced it.and besides we love the se logo, you know. i will buy the phone just for that.

X2 is manufacturer by FOXCONN not SE themselves , that's mean ,
X2 IS MADE BY FOXCONN, with SE logo
advice for SE , put a "FOXCONN" logo on the X2 , don't cheat se fans , they donno anything , u boost the megapixels to 12MP they think it is Exmor sensor ,u put a "cybershot" logo they think it is real "cybershot", but they donno that the "Cybershot" in the phone is just a program/software/UI
u changed the shape/design of the phone , they donno u offer the same old outdated hardware ,
next time, try to put some logo like:-
256K colour screen
QVGA 120FPS video rec.etc
at the back cover there
don't cheat SE fans , they are so pity!
plus, hope u can give a free updated of WINMO 6.5 for X1 , TOSHIBA giving their user free updated to winmo 6.5.
please SE, put a FOXCONN logo on X2

just beatiful , if the "op sys" matches the looks ,it will be a "must buy", the only weakness maybe ? is the 5 mpx camera, everyone else is pushing 8 mpx at the moment.hot product.9/10.

The N900 has more features than the N97:
- faster ARM Cortex A8 600mhz processor, PowerVR SGX graphics, and MAEMO, a linux operating system, full Adobe Flash 9.4 support in Mozilla Firefox based Fennec Internet Browser.
The N97's specialization is security, low memory stability (Symbian was designed for low memory management). The N97 hardware was designed for low power consumption as well. In addition, less hardware allows the N97 to be more compact and small (as can be seen in the N97 mini).
So, it's not correct to say that the N97 has all the features of the N900, or to say one is better than the other.
Features (camera, faster processor, graphics, ui) has benefits and drawbacks. You want more features, the phone gets bigger, heavier, higher power consumption, more expensive. You want smaller phone, you get less features.
However, the N900 is not a new N97. It's a different class of phone, and does have new features. :)
I think you might like the interface of the N900 if you give it a try, and you'll definitely find that it is an entirely different class of device.
People who have used it all agreed it doesn't feel like a Nokia, but at the same time, still loved it.

N97 is standing with all that software advancement on the processing power of N93. That's just not right.

I will buy this phone for sure as soon as I'll have the chance. Have to say that the n900 seems the best choice for the moment. loved the videos on youtube, it seems lag free, but we'll have to see about that. I simply can not waaaait anymore!! i want it now :(

I was to busy with iPhone world for the past 3 years and now being here in a Nokia page, I realize one thing..
SE and Samsung fanboys and geek girls were very insecure of Nokia :) they keep hating it because they know this fan companies cannot defeat it.
I have fun watching you all guys going crazy over mobile phones haha

You can not compare N93 to N97 because N93 does not have many futures that N97 has. And I was comparing N97 with N900. For me when buying new phone it is important that phone has new futures. N70 had camera and symbian, Then N93 had better camera and bigger screen then moved to N95 because of GPS then moved to N96 because of bigger screen and flash memory. Then moved to N97 because of more flash memory and bigger screen. I would buy N900 only if it had xenon flash or something else. But because it has everything that N97 has and does not have so many programs written for it I consider it failed.

Why are people comparing this to an X2?! That is just stupid. Just compare this with the Sony Ericsson Satio, or the upcoming X3 because it's way more powerful than this!

N97 has a slightly higher clocked cpu with no HW chip, the amount of ram available after the boot is roughly the same and n93 makes wayy better pictures with 3x optical zoom and it has hardware acceleration.
If you followed the right sources, you should already know that N97 is a 2-year old phone.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2009You have pointed out some points why n900 will not popular!... moreN97 doesn't have omap3, it has a weak cpu, wayyy too little ram and it can barely run symbian.
But if youre not asking for too much, it's runing fine out of the box and it's nice and blingy to boast around with it.
As for portrait mode, the linux/maemo community has already made a fix, and considering the os is open-source, you might have landscape, portrait, diagonal, inverted and mirrored mode until it's released.
