Oh, the newest episode of mobilefan-wars is out. How spectacular, I might aswell participate.

Let´s first take a quick view at the two fighting teams then, shall we?
First, the Nokia team:
Here we have people who apreciate a wide variety of features and great useability in their phones. Nokia fans are quite forgiving about things like bugs and crashes and are most often quite optimistical about things. Naturally, there are these people who complain about bugs and that, but they are usually satisfied with simply asking for advice...
Negative aspects about Nokia fans might be the fact that they don´t always accept defeat and sometime they simply ignore simple facts.
Some Nokia hardcores also seem to be very rich, because they always MUST have the newest model, first the N90 for a couple of months, then the N80 for a few and then the N93 as soon as it´s out. That can´t be too good... This kind of "need-to-buy" attitude is fed by the fact that Nokia keeps announcing new models very often. I personally think that Nokia should put more money in resolving Symbian instabilities than in making new models...
An other negative side is that Nokia fans have a habit of asking the same question over and over again, which can sometimes be rather annoying (this is quite common on other brands forums aswell).

Then the SE team:
There are mainly two varieties of SE fans. The first type is the calm and helping one. This kind of fan is only interested in his own phone and it´s features and don´t really care about others. He likes to help other people with the same phone. This kind of fan is for example @dhoul (or something like that) who used to help people out on the K750i forums...
The other and more popular type of SE fan is the angry fanatic one. Which quite much reminds me of an japanese ww2 infantryman...
He loves SE and everything which has aything to do with it. Especially brand and technology names typical for SE (WalkMan, CyberShot, BestPic, UiQ etc) makes them go totally wild.
Other brands (especially NOKIA), is only ugly big bricks with useless functions and so on... You know the story...
They claim that they need only the functions a SE phone can provide. For example wLAN, which doesn´t seem to be too popular in SE phones has suddenly become a totally useless thing. Also shooting videos is totally out of style...
These kind of fans also like to go spamming on Nokia forums and for them it´s a question of honour, to let the whole world and every forum how good cameras SE make.
It is also very popular to vote 10/10/10 on every SE phone and 1/1/1 on every Nokia phone, this drill is also repeated for as long as possible.

So much about the teams, fans of other brands are not as radical as Nokia and SE fans.

My opinion is:
SE fans, go out in the forest and listen to music and take photos for as long and as much as you want. Hate videos, because so does SE.
Nokia fans (me including): Let´s just use the phones we have chosen and be happy with it. READ before you post is also important...

As I am a Nokia fan (since I saw the N73), I must add:

NOKIA RULES! SE makes astonishing cameras, Nokia makes good cameras and great phones.

This ofcourse was all-in-all a totally useless post, nothing to do with anything... My apologies, but I felt bored. Hope the admins don´t ban me for spamming...

No point comparing this ph with K800, because there is a huge price gap. So, to conclude, nokia N93 lose to K800 interms of price-function ratio.

Taking in consideration that EDGE is more widespread than UMTS, your afirmation is pointless.

Yes, there is no way to proud abt N93 is symbian with 3.2 mega cam. SE already show what is symbian in their P series smart phs. this ph design is great I agree, but Nokia doesn't know how to pack all features in compact size. Just compare this ph with O2 Atom!! U wanna say O2 atom is lousy in functions????

Its a shame for Carl Zeiss, the amount of noise is incredible. This demonstrates that a digital camera isnt only a group of lenses. Why sony cyber-shot is in first place in digicams and nokia always is behind of SE in camera phones????
Why if two companies uses carl zeiss lenses???
The diference is sony develop technology in camera sensor, nokia dont develop anything

Your "multimedia computers" are buggy, complicated. Nokia put all in one device, but for what???, most of the people who talk about WLAN, EDGE, UMTS talk about these without knowledge, for example, they talk about K800 has no EDGE, but Why EDGE if you have UMTS??

Your WLAN, for me they never uses a laptop in, which device is more suitable for it, a cell phone or a computer??? maybe the people whom talk much about WLAN never uses it and they dont know what is it???

And its a law, SE is better in camera phones. All previous reviews were made with beta version. GSM Arena is with comercial firmware. This is the difference.

Finally, the real competitor of K800 is N73, not the N93, but beats the last one in photo quality... Is it hard to understand??

I have owned every single Symbian Nokia mobile phone and Multimedia computers (as they are called now) and the N93 is not a phone, or a multimedia computer with a camera; its a Camera with a phone and a multimedia computer! It has all the cutting edge technology; its real Mobile (after all the device is suppose to be a MOBILE phone) InfraRed connection Bluetooth, USB, Direct TV output and 3.5ML jack for sound, WIFI (a technology that SonyEricsson cannot comprehend) expandable memory to 2GB with built in 50MB. The camera is the best camera on a mobile phone in the market; the rumered 5 MegaPixel N83 phone/ multimedia computer is only rumered so, as it stands, the massive powerful N93 is the best thing money can buy. The size is relivant, but when you want a small phone with good features on it? Stick to 6230i or the N80; the N80 is smaller than the infamouse 6510 and 8310 and has all the features in the N93 except for a tv outlet (which eventually will be sold sepratley) and a Carl Zeiuss Lens with 3Xoptical Zoom. I for one have loved the N90 and cannot wait to experience the capabilities of the N93. On a personal note, Nokia could've made it smaller if they wanted to, but when you have a brilliant phone like the N93, you do not want to put that in your pocket, you want it in your hands or on the dinner table where everyone can see that you're the wise one who made a brilliant choice of buying the Nokia N93. =) Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, I-mate, Siemens BenQ, watch, and learn, and TRY to develope what Nokia has developed as of yet. God knows what Nokia has instore for 2007, 2008, 2009, and so on. Sony Ericsson K800 is equipped with a 3.2 Cybershot Camera from Sony, and xenon flash, but that phone is so messed up you can't even put it straight on a surface! Nokia N93 is seriously not made for everybody, its made for those who know phones, and appreciate them.

You NOKIA fanboys have got it all figured it out haven't you? This is not just a contest of features my friends. This is a contest of popularity. And tell me who is more popular in terms of digital photography than sony cybershot?Nokia I suppose? And I have to ask,are we still in the 90's?Because Nokia seems to have forgotten that home phones are no longer in style....

Guys, can we just end and not to fight one another? OK, we can just compare K800 with something else like N73, right? It's fair to compare these two. Not K800 with N93. Because K800 surely be a "LOOSER". The standard is tooo far behind. It is not in the same category. But to compare with N73 also K800 a LooSer, N73 video is a far way better with MP4 CIF reso. I agree that SE has to learn a lot about video from the leader, NOKIA.

One more N93 review by famous Steve Litchfield and Rafe Blandford from All About Symbian. In the review they said that "The N93 is still the best camera/camcorder smartphone we've ever used". Look at the picture and Videos! Once again, CAN K800 TOOK VIDEO LIKE THAT? Surely not!

This phone is for rich people so those who dont have money go look on the new phones but without camera, 3G, symbian, etc. like nokia 6080. And about the size, it sucks but stupid people from factories cant make it smaller yet, so we have to like this one for now...... MONEY RULE THE WORLD!

i love brick fones they rule. they have larger screens and usually better features the SE fones are good for simple people but i find them boring and pathetic cause they are not symbianall the SE bar fones are simillar to the first SE camera fone T-XXX. THEY HAVE THE SAME DESIGN FEATURES AND SCREENS. THEY ARE JUST A BIT MORE IMROVED. by the way symbian fones are effected by bugs only when you install cra... software. i love my sx1 and i am going to get the n92

One important consideration in mobile phs is SIZE. otherwise, O2 will not come out with mini,atom,etc.. No one will want to put 3cm thick ph in their pants. 2 or 3 years ago, SE and Samsung are nothing compare to nokia, 9 out of 10 ppl using nokia at that time. But now stylish samsung and feature rich SE are going on the right track. And just see what will happen to nokia in next 3 years if they continue like this.

are you trying to say the bigger the phone the better, or you try to say nokia is the market leader because they can make phones big like a brick? another thing is i believe money is not really a matter to lots of people, i don't mind spend big bucks on phone, as long as they worth it

I don't think the size is the disadvantage. The style and the form factor is so unique, make the slider phone even coming soon N83 looks not so great. If we see people using N80 and the other using N90, i think we will say WoW to those who use N90. It is like using "the most expensive phone", even N80 has better feature. Can u understand what I'm going to say? N93 is so unique like N90, only some people that can afford it will have it. AND THOSE WHO HAS NOT ENOUGH MONEY, TRY TO GET cheap K800! (A boring candy bar phone!). I want to say something: I don't understand how can we compare Nokia phone with SE. Nokia is the leader in market share. The competitor maybe motorola or samsung. Where is SE??? Try to get the report of cellpohe market share for this 2 years. And u will know, where is SE position!
