Guys, consider the huge screen that displays crisp and clear images.. It deserves a big size.

if i attach Sony DSC T9 to Sonyericsson M600 smartphone, i m afraid the combined size is still smaller than this brick. So, personally I like this phone design and features, but it is just TOO BIG. Every manufacturer can put everything, of course resulting the huge device. Nokia !! pls make it smaller for next model!! otherwise, not many ppl will buy it.

The price for this multimedia computer (new term for such mobile devices) just fit in with its functionality. Comparing it with the SE K800 in terms of price is relative in terms of what aspect you want.
Personally, K800 does it better in terms of the Photo function, but residing in the camera feature alone does not mean that it is a better device than N93. If your concern is that alone, Why not just buy a digital camera witout compromised quality.
I mean, The N93 offers remarkable specs such as the 2.4" screen w/ vivid display. The newly launch Nokia browser is good considering the Wi-fi function. With its DVD like video recording function with 30fps, it shall set a benchmark for camcorder function concurrent to its other competitor. Other than these, there are lots of features that are never to be compared with other mobile devices.

everybody here seems to know what is RIGHT and what is wrong. Everyone needs to understand that people have different needs. That's why both SE and Nokia offer different types of phones all the time. If everyone was the same, SE and Nokia will only be making one phone each.
Sure SE makes good phones for some people and Nokia makes good phones for some people. What the N93 offers, none of the SE phones offer. That's what makes it different.
Some people will look at the N93 and see it as a huge expensive gadget out to rip holes on your pocket. It will for some people. Some people will love it specially for the features that it offers: 3.2MP camera, optical zoom, 640x480 video with 30fps (wow!), smartphone, WiFi, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth v2, USB v2, IR, etc, etc, etc.
But some wouldn't need all of these, and don't require a 3.2MP camera on their phone. And that's okay, they have their own preferences. They like to bring digital cameras for special occasions.
Some would love to carry N93 anywhere because they are able to use most of the features. Some don't use these features at all.
To sum it up, Nokia has come out with a very great phone and packed it with great features. SE has not come out with one to match it.

All atleast moderately advanced phones have atleast some software instabilities nowadays. S60-based phones have ofcourse more than non-symbians as S60 is a far more advanced an complicated platform...
I also think that it´s stupid to judge the usefulness of a feature, I mean, just if you don´t need or like some feature, like wlan, then I´m sure someone else do. I strongly doubt that any company would insert REALLY useless functions in their models...

umm.. i m not a fan of SE. I ve been using many phs in my life as i crazy changing handphones. I used siemens SL45, SL55,
SE Z600,P900,T68,W800, Nokia 8850,8910i,6600,6260,7610, moto V70,V3, panasonic X70, GD88 , samsung E700,D500,O2 mini etc. All are considered good and popular phs. From my experience,samsung has limited functions with poor batt life. siemens phs have firmware problems . only nokia and SE are not bad.I can only say two thumbs up to nokia designer classic ph like 8910. when comes to smart ph option, I will go for O2 mini or atom. There is NO POINT comparing K800 and N93, becoz they are selling at DIFFERENT price. if u want more, u pay more and u carry big ph. thats all I can say.

Instead of fighting here, look around how many ppl change from nokia to SE nowadays, and how many ppl changed from SE to nokia. thats the answer. ppl buy for their needs and SE knows what ppl need. I use O2 pda ph before and browse internet. Not more than 5 times man! ph screen is ph screen. u have internet and pc at home, at work, at school, WAT FOR having WiFi ? when driving, u can't surf net also, unless u taking bus.
After all, this is good try from nokia, but see how many ppl buy this ph..

MY SECOND QUESTION (to smart phone lovers):
What is a smart phone?
Is it the phone with bad sound quality such as: 6170, 6260, 6101/6102?
On most of Nokia phones today, you have a hissing sound (due to fu..ing FM radio) or very unclear sound due to all the crap. in the phone! Before Nokia made normal phones without color screan but not anymore. Only if you use a high quality new Plantronic or New Motorola bluetooth, will you have normal sound quality. But Nokia charges $100 for a bluetooth phone ( EX. New Garbage 6103 phone)!!
And forget about Sony phones at all. They even worser when it comes to software issues and durability.

yeah mike, you have the reason.
And i agree with some points of Dreadnought comments, yes, as he says, its "need to buy the last one" attitude. They dont think about other aspects in a phone. They only think in have everything in a device. It doesnt matter to them things like usability, reliability, batery life, software stability and others, and the most of them never uses those features at all. For example, read some comments like one said "it hast EDGE and UMTS" Please, in europe EDGE isnt widespread and in americas most people use CDMA handsets; where is EDGE??
Later... WLAN!! the most of nokia fans talk about WLAN in a cell phone... please, the WLAN is useless in a device like a phone. Or they havent a laptop?? maybe... who knows?
If you really use the WLAN in a serious portable device, i understand you, but not here!!
If nokia fan archetype is the tech lover, they fight to have some of the samsung korean models that have everything inside, 10MP camera, optical zoom, 12Mbps in CDMA EV-DO data transmision, DMB TV, the best screens in the market. This is very good features for a cell phone in a good size.
While SE fan only search for a good quality in certain features, they only serch the best. Best sound: walkman, Best imaging: cybershot, best UI: SE, best java: SE, best battery life: SE.
Simply they dont complicate their existence with buggy, complex and slow OS, only search quality, no more.
And the advanced user, whom REALLY USE A SMARTPHONE search for other type of device, not search for N70 or N80, maybe E70 but no more. S60 is for nascents

1)$950 for a phone with horrible digital camera?
2)What makes Nokia think that it is better in quality than Sharp 903 phone?
3)Ask Nokia who is the manufacture if its sensor and who is THE REAL manufacture of its so-called Carl Zeis lens?
FINALLY:
The best Canon and Panasonic digi cams cost today $350-$400 , and they have real lens, real optics, and Panasonic even has high resolution, best quality screan.
SO, BE SMART AND BUY ONE OF THOSE CAMERAS instead of wasting your money on this piece of probaly very slow junk!

K800 has a fantastic camera but thats pretty much all it has, nice phone though, but N93 is better.

nokia need some diehard fan to protect their long trusted brand. however, in reality, 8 out of 10 of my friends changed to SE and Samsung phs( they r nokia fans b4).
So , if u r still nokia fan, pls stick with brick phs, because nokia can't lose its fan anymore. ha haa (and post many good review too)
