Does anyone out there knows anything about how "video calling" will work? do i have to set it up with my mobile company? or does it automatically work if your phone has these capabilities? ofcourse, this is when the other phone has this same feature?

    To Rikki:

Congratulations for having your N93. I just also had mine week ago. I have one curious question. Since this device has TV out, do you think is it also possible to connect N93 with an LCD or DLP projector? If it's possible, then I can use it to show simple powerpoint presentation in my classes and that won't make me always bring my laptop. Thanks for the reply.

      Ok people,

      This is the Camera Review.
I would do the ccamera and video together but hey...i do have a life outside of GSMArena.com haha.

      Camera Hardware:
Well its pretty had not to be able to find the camera on this phone but a lot of my friends have asked me where it is???, so i guess it is well hidden. The camera basicl controls how big the whole phone is. Because of it being accross the phone and the need fo it to have a optical zoom the depth of the camera shaft needs to be long, hence the width of the phone. The Camera lens cover is fantastic, a lot of people thin that this would come off easy and they would loss it, this would be almost impossible, its on there pretty tight, in fact i had trouble getting it off the first few times, and when you put it back on you get a reassuring 'click' thats its on for good. As you all know the camera specs are:
      Carl Zeiss
      Vario-Tessar
      3x Optical Zoom 3.2 Megapixel (2048 x 1536)

      Camera Software:
The camera software is great, at first you might wonder how to get to the camera function, well you dont need to go menu after menu to get there, all you need to do is move the screen into the camera mode (the same look as the pic of the N93 on GSMArena) and your away, the phone will automaticly enter the camer function waiting for you to capture life :). Once inside the function you are able to zoom, capture, and change settings with the secondry 5-way joystick on the side. There is a lot of room for expression with the N93, you can change capture modes (auto, night, close-up, landscape, portrait) the white balance, exposure levels and colour tone, i.e sepia, black and white all the jass. Also there is a function for take multipul pics (6) to be exact, in about the space of 10 seconds, so its not a super fast picture taker but it would do the trick if you were at the races and wanted a few good shots of the horse comeing up to the finish line...maybe. also i forgot to mention the when you enter the camera mode the camera takes up the full screen, every last pixle apart from the smal tool bar on the side, and because the screen is in the horizontal position Nokia has kindly added 2 softkeys on the top of the screen so you can still easy go back, delete and go to options without turning the phone around again.

      Quality:
What you have all been waiting for. The quality of this camera is printable. Now what does that mean. What it means is the the pictures will be able to be printed on a 6x4 normal size print and look fantastic. The pictures that i tryed were a mixture of 0x zoom and 3x zoom, i didnt use any digial zoom because there is just no point, the digital zoom would ruin any pic you took. The difference between 0x and 3x was nothing, and thats how it should be, you should be able to see no difference in quality, contrast, or colour, and well done Nokia. When zooming, it seems to zoom in stages, very very small stages, you can hear the zoom working so i think that it would come up in video but more on the in the next review. I transfered the pics to my mac and opened them up and they are great, the only complint is that they wtill seemed a little grainy...only very slightly, not sumthing to get all worried about. With more fine tuning of the images ie, exposure and white balance the pictures just got better and better. I am a picture person so this is the perfect phone.

      Conclusion:
Nokia have done an amasing job on the N93. It is a true imaging phone, optial zoom is great, the zomming function mite need a little treaking ie, the noise it makes and it sounds very fragile. Aptart from that its great, printing pics are easy with the intergration of the Nokia Print Facility and transfer of pics are easy as well with Bluetooth and USB. I will be testing out the same pics i took on the TV in the next review hopefully.
      Hope this has helped.

Any other questions please feel free to ask

      Thanks

      Rikki :)

Got this phone a few days ago, it's been perfect. But when I woke up today, I can't seem to open up internet, when ever I try getting on the web, it says Web: Already in Use, eventhough I don't have anything opened I tried closing the phone and opening it again, I keep getting that message when I try connecting to the internet. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Hi rikki and all having amazing N93,
could you please do a video and photo review too??
especially, in video record, during the optical zoom, is there any noise of zoom action (like a click sound)??
                    thnx

Today I went to the mall and finally saw and tried to put in the pocket a real N93. Well. It's NOT big at all! It can fit the pocket comfortably. I compared the thickness to it to the N80. It's the same thickness.
This means the coming sliding n95 should be as thick. But the clampshell format is better than sliding. So the n93 should be
great to have. If anyone knows when Nokia will make a 5mp clampshell model like the n93. Let me know asap.

Ok people - here is the Sound Review you have all been waiting for:

Please Note: Im writting this revew while i listen to music on my N93, so if there are spelling mistakes im sorry.

                                Lets Begin

                                The Hardware.
The N93 is shipped with the stardard headset so the quality can only be as good as expected from a shipped accessory.
The Headset itself is comfortable, with a built-in Lanyard so you can plug the phones out of your ears and not have to worry about them dropping on the floor. The headset fits nicly into the Pop Port on the side of the N93, however this would be a pain if you like to carry your music player in your pocket, this is ok because i have a iPod Video so everything is fine :)
The controls on the side of the Headset dongle are very interesting, there are the standard volume up and down on one side and where the mic is, is also a button. When you hold down the button the music stops playing and then you can speak a voice command into the mic for the N93 to respond. If no sound is made or no the sound is not confirmed then you can resume the music where it paused by pressing the middel button on the joystick outside the N93.

                                Software:
The N93 will automaticly realise when the headset is pluged in, like normal. When you enter the Music Player and start playing music you can here it through the headset. Close the lid and the magic begins. The sub LCD (when first closed) will display the symbol of the joystick on the outside and display what each button will do (very exciting - but wait there is more). after that screen disappares the net appares. The screen displays the name of the track, the total leanth, the counter and also a realy cool visulisation (moving bars) with blue on a black background.
                                Very exciting.

                                Quality
I have transfered 5 diffent tracks onto my N93 most of them are dance type music so they have a good bass and treble so i can test it well. The music is crisp and clear, the quality of the tracks are good i.e the bit rate (128-197) and they come through perfectly. Very nice sound, i couldnt find a fault. The volume on the other hand could need some work, When the headset is turned up to 100% the music is loud (loud enough for most people) but i guess there are some people out there that love to dammage their eardrums as much as possible. so sorry guys Nokia has your health in mind. With all the said and done the quality of sound is not something to be overlooked, its great and good sound quality is hard to come by, with all the Walkman phones out there its hard to know what to get, but if you will be useing the Nokia N93 for music then you wont be dissapointed.

                                External Speaker
The extenal speaker is just like most external speakers - BASIC
It can rench high volumes but when it does the music starts to crackle a bit and get to the point that you need to turn it down. For ringtones its perfect but not for music. The sound is still crisp and clear when its at low to mid volumes but still cant deliver that much bass, mostly treble (but thats all ringtones are - trebble)

                                Conclusion
Wow - this phone has blowen the socks off me. the sound output through the headset is great, exacly what im looking for. The software works flarelessly, no problems and easy to use and operate, thanks for the secondry 5-way joystick Nokia great idea.
I hope this helps everybody who has not made up there mind on the phone, I love it and i know you will to

                                Have a great nite :)

for anyone that is concerned about the n series fones sending texts messages too slowly, my advice is not to purchase the first units that are released. wait a few weeks and see if others are complaining of that same problem..
