thanks for the review. i would like to ask u something. is it better if i get the n92 that i have ordered or the n93. the n93 has a 3mp camera, but the n92 has 2mp. the mps are used only for zooming purposes[digital]but it doesn't make any signifigant difference on the mob's screen or on the cpu.
on the other hand i believe that the 16m. colours do make a big difference according to my mothers 6131[16m.]. the n92 is much more beatiful i think and it supports the tv feature which i don't think that i'll use it anyway. but is there any difference between their softwares. i nkow that the n93 is based on the symbian OS 9.1, S60 3rd edition. is the n92 based on the same symbian edition and if not what are the differences?

    cheers

      Hey,

Sorry about not mentioning the screen in the camera review, i completely forgot.

Ill do a review on the screen now.

      N93's Screen

In the past few months i have been test driving a lot of phones to see which one would be best suited for me. A good screen is one of, if not the most important feature of a mobile for me. After all you look at it alot.
The N93's screen is Active matrix 2.4" QVGA color display with wide 160 ° viewing angle: 320 x 240 pixels, up to 262,144 colors, which in todays market would be considered a high-end screen.
2.4" is a fealy large screen, not the biggest ive seen on a smartphone but still big enough to see and big enough for images to look good on.
320 x 240 is standard, same as the upcomeing N92. However there are screens out there that are a little better, ie the N80 it has a resolution of 352x416. Now that is amazing, the N80 is a fantastic screen, crisp and clear, put simply the best i have ever seen. Now thats not saying that the N93's screen is bad, its just not as good.
Now colour, the stages of colour are:
      64k, 262k and 16m.
The N93 had a colour depth of 262k which is adove average and looks fantastic, now the defference between 64k and 262k is noticable, especialy when you are using the camera function on phones but..262k to 16m colours, now thats not much of a difference, it sounds like it would be but the human eye can only see up to 10m, so 16m colour screen is a waste of time.

      Qualitly of screen
THe quality of the N93 is second to none. The clarity of the screen is great. only when looking very closly at it can you start to see pixilation at the top of the phones main menu. The colours are fantastic, and we all know that symbian s60 is a very colourful system and that why we like it haha.
The N93 screen is a great feature of the phone, and mixed with the fantastic camera they pair very well. when using the camera function the pictures look great and with the hi-res screen it all looks good.

      Thanks again

P.S I could talk for ages about this phone but i highly recommened that everybody goes down to a store and holds this phone, turn it on play with it, take pics of the sales person, video of the dog out side anything..this is a phone that must be played on.

If one waits for 3 months, the price may
          be reduced by maybe 30-40%??

The n73 looks ok at about $500. But it
doesn't have wifi. How usefully really is
wifi? Has anyone tried using any wifi
capable n-series to surf at cafe like starbucks with wifi? is it free?

Its pointless buy this phone, too expensive, nokia is crazy... for this price you can buy a Sony Ericsson k750 and a Canon SD600 6mp camera. Just snobby people can buy this phone to show off. What the hell I hope the other brands wont follow nokia and their stupid high prices, come on, it's just a phone!!!

i am the guy that asked u to producea review about the camera. please i would like u to tell me about the screen. i am getting my n92 this week and i want to know if the n93's screen that supports up to 256k colors is owned by the n92's one [16m. i have compared my mothers 6131 screen[16m] that has 1.3 mp camera with the n80 and the 6131 owns it by far.tne n80 looks like the cheapest fone compare to it.[ i am not being biased. ha ha ha]

bth ur reviews are great. i think u should create ur own web. sorry for waisting ur time

hopefully this one will be even better

Dont be even think about that.
The phones are expected to be out
in feb 2007, but trust me it will
be april or may. So no reason to
                    dont buy the N93.

Can anyone compare this camera and video quality from this N93 with Sharp 903? Sharp has optical zoom and 3Mpx also but with normal size for a handphone.
                            Thanks

                              To Rikki:

Thank you very much. Perhaps I will have to try how the images will look like using a DLP projector. I have quite big class groups comprised of 40 students and I think using a CRT TV's screen might be small (since what we have in school is only ~21 inches). If the images won't be that good, then I guess I have to bring my laptop with me.

                              :-)

                              Thanks Rikki.

                                Dear stargater

Your N93 can plug into any source because of the simple RCA connection that comes baxed with the N93. Also in the system software you are able to change the TV System. ie Pal or NTSC and also the Ratio. so you can adjust the output of the N93 to any TV.
LCD and DLP Projectors might look a little funny because of the high resolution but CRT TV's will look good, Ill do a better review soon, i work a electrical store so we have about 40 different tv;s i can try it on

                                Thanks

what the hell i paid us1230$ Inr 55000 for this brick when i take pictures from it it sucks man noise is noticeable very easily pictures are not sharp as i was wondering and for optical zoom function its manual u have to move it ur self it wont move automatically like digi cams
and its very heavy also and also nokia is misleading it saying thay this phone make dvd like movies but its not true its makes video in vga ie 640x480 which most of digital cam can make but dvd quality reso is 720x640 dont buy this brick in the price of this u can buy se k790 and a 7 mega pixel camera.
