afsar, maybe there is dirt in the lens? the n93 is said to be better than an SLR camera, in fact, many sold their canon d30 slr to get hold of this amazing out of this world nokia technology.

n93 is the worst phone i ever bought i rtn the phone in 4 hrs to big to use a phone bad quality pictures .i waited for this n93 for 3mths but its a toyphone

Hey guys n gals, you dont find better phone than this at present... It will replace ur Sony digi cams, u dont even need to carry digi cams.... And Picture, sound clarity are really very good compared to other N series phones. but i doubt abt its performance(normal/internet speed) and battery life... Can any one give feedback on these things...

I have already tested the TV out of N93 using a DLP projector - WOW! The output is crisp and clear!

Now I do not have to bring my laptop always during class when I need to teach using simple powerpoint presentations, plus educational films as well (in mp4 format).

Umm....i have already done a sound review:
Just incase you missed it here it is,

Ok people - here is the Sound Review you have all been waiting for:

Please Note: Im writting this revew while i listen to music on my N93, so if there are spelling mistakes im sorry.

Lets Begin

The Hardware.
The N93 is shipped with the stardard headset so the quality can only be as good as expected from a shipped accessory.
The Headset itself is comfortable, with a built-in Lanyard so you can plug the phones out of your ears and not have to worry about them dropping on the floor. The headset fits nicly into the Pop Port on the side of the N93, however this would be a pain if you like to carry your music player in your pocket, this is ok because i have a iPod Video so everything is fine :)
The controls on the side of the Headset dongle are very interesting, there are the standard volume up and down on one side and where the mic is, is also a button. When you hold down the button the music stops playing and then you can speak a voice command into the mic for the N93 to respond. If no sound is made or no the sound is not confirmed then you can resume the music where it paused by pressing the middel button on the joystick outside the N93.

Software:
The N93 will automaticly realise when the headset is pluged in, like normal. When you enter the Music Player and start playing music you can here it through the headset. Close the lid and the magic begins. The sub LCD (when first closed) will display the symbol of the joystick on the outside and display what each button will do (very exciting - but wait there is more). after that screen disappares the net appares. The screen displays the name of the track, the total leanth, the counter and also a realy cool visulisation (moving bars) with blue on a black background.
Very exciting.

Quality
I have transfered 5 diffent tracks onto my N93 most of them are dance type music so they have a good bass and treble so i can test it well. The music is crisp and clear, the quality of the tracks are good i.e the bit rate (128-197) and they come through perfectly. Very nice sound, i couldnt find a fault. The volume on the other hand could need some work, When the headset is turned up to 100% the music is loud (loud enough for most people) but i guess there are some people out there that love to dammage their eardrums as much as possible. so sorry guys Nokia has your health in mind. With all the said and done the quality of sound is not something to be overlooked, its great and good sound quality is hard to come by, with all the Walkman phones out there its hard to know what to get, but if you will be useing the Nokia N93 for music then you wont be dissapointed.

External Speaker
The extenal speaker is just like most external speakers - BASIC
It can rench high volumes but when it does the music starts to crackle a bit and get to the point that you need to turn it down. For ringtones its perfect but not for music. The sound is still crisp and clear when its at low to mid volumes but still cant deliver that much bass, mostly treble (but thats all ringtones are - trebble)

Conclusion
Wow - this phone has blowen the socks off me. the sound output through the headset is great, exacly what im looking for. The software works flarelessly, no problems and easy to use and operate, thanks for the secondry 5-way joystick Nokia great idea.

I will be testing the N93 against W Series Sony Ericssons soon.

To the guy/girl that was asking about the N92 ask yourself this:
Will you use the TV function????

Every phone when it is been created must have a theme, the whole phone is based around this theme in some way or another. The N92 is based around the new streaming TV, the N93 is based around Camcorder/Camera (capture your life), W series mobiles are based around Walkman/Sound.
You can never get the best of everything,
But the N93 comes very very close.....go play with one.

i just bought this phone 3 days ago and i have many questions and i hope of you guys could help me out!!

1. when i record i hear the noise of the optical zoom and its kinda annoying...and it records the noise too!!is this normal?

2. i have cingular and they say that i cant use mobitv on...do you guys know any options?

3. how do you download opera on it if the device doesnt even appear on their website?

if somebody could answer one of these would be great!!!thanks

processor in n93 (according to the review posted on mobile88): ARM11 processor (TI OMAP2420)includes an integrated ARM1136 processor (running at 330 MHz).

hey rikki...
you really rocked mann!!! great great review...you really kinda forced me to buy this fone and i am going to buy it very very sooon after reading your review..i just hope that whatever you have written about the N93 is really true..and i am an absolute nokia lover and that is the reason why i am against sony ericsson fones...and i always use and i influence people to but nokia...

I have only one last request to you Rikki that is...Please make a review on the sound quality of N93..both through the headfones and through the speakers..and just add a comment of yours that is the sound quality better than k800 and N73 or not...i just need a very good sound quality not an Excellent one...

now that you have given me the dimensions i can see your point,still you must have big pockets! I have little hands and find it to big to handle with just one hand! a problem i have experienced before.

The n93 is awful!! if you want a camcorder then buy one,dont moan about the pic quality its a phone at the end of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
