I am going to buy n96. I want to know that is n96 works slowly. I have n73 and it is very slow phone. It takes much time to open many application. So, i want to know that n96 is slow phone or not. Please answer me.

I just received my n96 finally and so far i love it very much, although most of the features are not available in my country. The speaker could have been better for such an expensive phone, but guess what i dont regret buying it at all. I am looking at the e series phones. I might buy one of those soon. Nokia all the way no other brand can match up to nokia no day

I think the differance between the Amazon phone problems and the Nokia version lack there of was purely a coicidence. There is no perfect phone out there. I think you have 30 days to return the phone at Amazon??? After 7 days at Nokia you can only exchange it. I miss the qwerty pad. but I love the video quality and the nice camera. The camera seems to work quicker than the N95 8 gig. I the iphone had a built in video camera I may have went that direction. However the iphone forces you into paying for the monthly 3g fees. I use the N96 with the wifi now and may or may not get the internet later. Freedom of choice.

I purchased the n96 from Amazon. I was good. But I noticed the battery was short lived; even with wifi etc off. The reason I sent it back was the voice command would shut of the phone and restart by itself when I used the voice command with certain names. It would do it consistantly with certain names. I called Nokia to see if there was a firmware update and they suggested that I get a phone from them since I wanted one "Made in Finland". So I returned the one to Amazon because I only owned it for 4 days and it already had software issues. The phone from Nokia also stated, "Made in China". He bullshit me. However the Voice Command problem was gone. I have gotten this N96 to lockup a few times. Sometimes I'm finding that it is still trying to do something that takes time and if I just wait to give it another command it seems to do it less. Of course the jury is still out on that. By the way to verify if the phone is indeed a Nokia authorized phone, just look at the imei # under the battery and call Nokia. Nokia will verify the number for you. Today was my last day to return the phone for a full refund to Nokia. I decided to keep it. The main reason is having the good quality video in it. While it is not as good as a regular video camera it is by far better than the majority of phones out there. And you can record a sizeable video also. My friends N95 8Gig did not playback on analog or HD tvs very well, but plays back excellent on the phones screen itself. THE BATTERY

Just go 2 your sbrowser setings and switch it on.....

For me is the greatest phone never done by nokia, for the point of design. But for technics, it isn't a revolution. The next one will be the good one ????

rich, 02 Dec 2008why did I make the biggest mistake and get this phone??!!!?... moreDude take your nokia n96 to a nokia care centre tell them what is happening and Im sure they will fix it.
I took my nokia n96 to a nokia care centre and they fixed the proplem though I did'nt have that sourt of problem with mine, are you sure you aint running to many applications to find out if you are press the menue key for about a second and if the are applications running you should exit them by pressing the c key,
if it is a branded nokia n96 say from vodafone take it to a nokia care centre to take it off I got mine off and have no more trouble with it,
ps: the vodafone software caused all the trouble for me.
