why do you deny the fact that you are a Samsung fanboy, are you ashame? im not ashame to say that im a Nokia follower because no other company at the moment can gave me the best products and support that Nokia do, specially now that the battle in phone sale shifts from hardware to software.
anyways you shifted on Nokia Sales topic which is still earning although its lower than they expected but not make or break like Samsung if they didn't lower their prices because you cant stand in the argument that N96 is the best choice than innov8 because its the best value all-in-one device.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I also have a N95 8GB. I had a N95-1 before and N95 8GB is so much improved in build quality compared to N95-1. I have no complaints about it. You're just unlucky you've got a defective unit. I have no reason to upgrade to N96.

Friends, I have a shoe string budget, but I would love to buy one which has 3G and fast data access and a good 5MB camera, video. Give me the choice between N82, N958gb, N96 or would u advice me to wait for a couple of months and evaluate N85 before deciding on one...

omg how everyone can say nokia still better phone in the market , i work in a Mobile Phones Shop , and all nokia have problems most of them with software , they made this in mass like making rubbish.
I don't want nokia it use to be good but now hummmmmmm sucks a lot .

Even days of standby, music and video playback is the same (according to smape.com, mobile-review.com). N96 is more fun to use due to the dual slide design, less bulk, better egronomics, less weight, 3.5mm audio jack on the top and the extra music and gaming keys. A better camera cant amount to all these. Plus, n96 is cheaper by almost 200 euros. N96 is a better value for money.

This phone offers very little over the n95 so why are they selling it for $1000 ? They could have atleast added a better camera.

i'm a nokia user but i cannot see how n96 becomes better than samsung i8510 innov8. no matter what angle i look at it i don't see its advantage over innov8. if it's better than innov8 then it makes n96 the best mobile phone out there. nokia is about to release an 8mp camera phone by the end of this year and i think that is the right one that can contest samsung innov8. but for the meantime, samsung has taken one step higher with innov8, while nokia is stucked in the shadow of n95 with this n96.

... moreYou are simply making fun of yourself. It's quite clear to everyone who is a blind fanboy. I like technology, not brand in particular. If anything is worth praising, I will do that. When N95 came out I loved it. Same way when something is not so great and some fan boy like you claiming that its great or better, I would counter that as well regardless of what brand that is.
About posting those financial reports..it's because someone asked why samsungs price drops. Nothing to do with you a dumbo as you are. Other manufacturers offer more features in the same price bracket. In the long run when other brands will catch up in customer support/distribution network, nokia will feel the heat. And this is just the beginning. that was the point. Anyways its a complete wastage of time to 'educate' you.

Got the phone 2 weeks back. Excellent work done on the model, huge improvements from n95, n95 8GB. Slider is firm and looks very classy and exec. Sound quality is good but camera is probably better on the n95 8GB. Back cover does screetch a little and standby is about 2-days with moderate usage. Buttons are a little hard to press but its far better than n81. For what is worth, I'd probably go for either n82 or n95 as they are half the price of n96. if you're looking for a phone with good standby since you have lots of emails and conference calls to catch, i'd simply point you to e71 and e90. Absolute amazement.
Try the n96 in person before buying it as it might not suit all and don't expect a whole load of difference from n95/n95 8GB. Go with little if not no expectation and you'll be very impressed with this beauty.

Where does it says... morei agree with mr.kal...innov8 is much better than n96 but i think he should post his comments only in innov8 opinions.the way he did will cause flared ups and angry nokia fans.well theres an achilles heel of innov8,like other samsung handset .they are plague wid problems.short -spanned parts and durability issues.

HELSINKI (Reuters) - Nokia Oyj (NOK1V.HE), the world's biggest cellphone maker, said it expects to lose market share in the third quarter as it fights to maintain profit margins, sending its shares as much as 14 percent lower.

Nokia warned its third-quarter market share would fall from the 40 percent notched up in the second three months of the year, compared with a steady market share it forecast earlier.
It said it expected the mobile device market in 2008 to be hit by weak consumer confidence in many markets and also cited tough competition in developing markets, its stronghold.
"Most alarming for me is that they're saying they're seeing more pressure in the low end of the market," said analyst Neil Mawston at Strategy Analytics.
"That really defines their profits, volumes; they get a lot of their economies of scale out of it. They really dominate that area," he said.
Analysts said Nokia and some other top vendors were likely to be losing ground to small vendors who are cutting prices in the hope of winning increased orders in the competitive business.
Nokia said it would ramp up one mid-range model more slowly than planned, with analysts saying the comments were likely related to the 5320 music phone.
Due to the confluence of negative factors, Nokia said margins at its core Devices & Services unit would fall below 20 percent in the third quarter.
"In certain markets and in certain areas, including in some of the low end, we are meeting certain aggressive pricing that we believe may not be sustainable," Nokia Chief Financial Officer Rick Simonson told a conference call.
"So it really is not margins. What we're talking about is units here," he added.

HELSINKI, Finland — Shares in Nokia Corp. tumbled Friday after the leading cell phone maker said its third-quarter global market share will decline from second-quarter levels because of aggressive price cuts by its rivals.
In July the company, the world's top mobile phone maker, had predicted that its market share would about the same in the two quarters _ about 40 percent.
Nokia said it was losing share because of its "tactical decision" not to match the aggressive price cuts of some of its competitors, seeking instead to be "sustainably profitable in the longer term." It also cited tough competition in emerging markets and a slow "ramp-up of a mid-range Nokia device."
Nokia's shares fell 9.5 percent in trading in Helsinki, and its U.S. shares slid $1.69, 7.6 percent, at $20.62.
Nokia was upbeat about the rest of 2008, saying it still aimed to increase its market share for the year. It already sells more phones than its three main rivals combined.
But the company's share price has plunged about 40 percent this year amid concerns the mobile industry would suffer as the credit crunch and inflation take a toll on economic growth and consumers' spending power.
Also, the closely watched average selling price of Nokia handsets has continued to fall, because of higher volumes of cheaper phones sold in emerging markets and a negative impact of the weak dollar.
In the second quarter, the average price for a Nokia phone was 74 euros ($107), down from 79 euros in the first quarter of the year and 90 euros in the second quarter of 2007.
Nokia is due to report its third quarter results Oct. 16.
