wat happened betwen the two 4nes was and wil in the future always affect sale of 4nes. Millions bought the n95 and wen the n95 (8gig) ,millions bought it and then the the n96 came and with many nokia users in third world countries and already havin the two n95 who needed a new devies. May b only d few million. The thing is IF NOKIA N96 came b4 nokia n95 it wud had sold more than the latter. Just watch Nesux S v Sgs

The proof that n96 was not a worthy succesor of n95 is in the number of units sold,where n96 is far below the n95! And also in popularity! The n95 was considered by the majority of profile reviews as the best phone at that time! I never saw a review that placed the n96 in the first place! Anticipated? It might have been,but it failed to meet the expectations of costumers!

my nokia n96 is not showing dstv in a 3g city in nigeria. I was told its not all shows dstv but i read online dat all has dvb for life tv. What do i do

If you're looking for a non-touch multimedia phone you should have also checked for other phones in the Nseries like n85,n95,n82,n79,n82 or Samsung Innov 8. Those are good alternatives to the n96.

Today the opinions are devided about what is the best phone. Back then it was no contest n95 was the best! Judging after the most important criterea,selles numbers the n96 did not manage to fill the shoes of n95. A pretty slow phone,with a bulky aspect suffering from the symbian disease-restarts and freezes! It has also good parts and It would be a lie to say it's a bad phone but overall the n96 won't be remembered as one of Nokia's best phones!

Yes the n95 8GB 1200 MAH battery can fit inside the n96 but it has to be trimmed a bit. I saw a video on youtube with a guy who explains the way...

Also make sure your running v30 firmware and use external memory card for recording video onto..

Hello brothers, this is the answer to your problems regarding battery life, try replacing the BL-5F TO BL-6F this is 1200ma, it fits to the phone but a little bit bulky on the part of battery cover but its not noticeable, try it brothers, i'm using BL-6F for months now w/o hassle and long batt usage..Hope this helps..

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2010N97 is epic fail! nokia confimed that!Nokia said the N97 software was not ready when released but had a successful sales. Nokia are updating frequently and will be adding more features on most of their smartphones like ovi browser etc on 2011

The only real problem with N-Series is the battery gauge stays at level 7 bars for ages then drops quickly as is 60-70% of the power is in bar 7.The gauge needs adjusting but thats hard..The n-series are the best smartfones in the world..I have nearly all of them in my life and love em..

The 1100 is the world be... moreNokia N95 sold 7 million the year it was lauched 2007 and another 3 million first quarter of 2008 which means it has sold more than 10 million. Nokia n96 and n97 have all sold more than 5 million each. Nokia new strategy is discontinue the predecessor and focus on the sucessor. Nokia phones always sell well and i know Nokia N8 is going to set a new record in the smartphone world.
