This phone is the best phone for me, but with such a good phone its expected to be used alot regardless of the feature you wish to use, my point is the battery in my eyes would be the weak point, ah well move around with the charger just in case.

Oh yeah, and why do people keep harping on about Irda? surely people dont care about that when 90% of new releases have bluetooth, and those that dont arent worth sending large files to anyway, its like criticising it for not having a monochrome screen. I dont think people realise the full potential of some of these phones, yeah it may be roughly the same as the N95 but I'm pretty certain that the processor will be more powerful and energy efficient, its the same as PC's, different processors use different watts and therefore power i.e. battery! I can use a program on my N95 that lets me use it as a wireless webcam (3 floors up!), another that lets me browse my PC music and control it remotely, GPS software, fantastic 3D games, watch DIVX and AVI movies etc... For me, the people that are critical are the fanboys and the specification freaks.

When this comes out N95 will be cheaper. So whats the point in getting this when 95 and 96 are very simular.

UehY, the mobile revolution is all about the all-in-one device, and not multiple devices stuffed into your pockets!

Alex, the problem is anyone who texts heavily is punished by not having access to N series features. Nokia do not produce a QWERTY phone with N series features. The QWERTY gives one flexibility in typing especially when it comes to the vernacular. The closest they have is the E90 but this does not have the 5MP cam or TV out which are distinguishing features of top N series phones. In addition the E90 is too bulky and heavy. There are other solutions. For instance the N96 could have had the design of HTC's S730 but include top of the range N series features within. This would widen the horizons of today's multimedia user because text, images and sound form a synergy.

For all those STILL concerned about the battery life, touchscreens, QWERTY etc.

GSMArena advises this: read before you post, search before you post. People, if you'd really had some patience, you would have seen that we have already argued enough about these supposed "problems" of this device.

                      It's just about the choice.

If you want to play some stuff (included the network use) in the train or bus after work or in the travel, you can buy this. (just a suggestion)

If you want to type text seriously, you should buy an E-series instead of N-series.(like the guy below who use some robotic language, maybe it's because he do not use a qwerty keyboard?)

If you want longer talk time, go buy some basic phone, and maybe with another i-Whatever player.

If you have some serious, nerd-class usage about multi-media or games outside your home all day long (so your handy gadget cannot hang-on to home), maybe you should buy some basic phone and a PSP.

If you want a qwerty keyboard get a different damn phone! I get really annoyed at the fools that criticise handsets because they dont have the features that THEY want. why dont you just go and design your own phone and see if Nokia will make it for you??? Oh, of course they wont do that, how silly of me. The N96 is what it is, you can criticise the battery, and the memory and the screen resolution but I think saying things like it's bad because it's not got a Qwerty are just plain dumb, go post your opinions to someone who cares!!!!!! X-(

I agree with the previous comment.

Buy 2 batteries charge a spare - does anyone have a brain......

Who wants to have to worry about getting through the day on a single charge.

Phones like this just never quite make it because of things like battery life.

Why would you want to have to charge two batteries to get you through a day? rediculous comment. As usual Nokia whack a whole lot of features into their flagships phones with absolutely no thought. Not even designed as a multimedia device its just a bunch of specs thrown about, with the essentials clearly missed. Fast operating, no lag, no freezing, long battery life, the ability to be able to make a call. Typical rubbish from nokia. How about making it a tough screen, full multimedia experience.
