The screen tilts! Did HTC make the hardware? ;p
Seriously, this looks like a viable replacement for my TyTN II:
- bigger, better, hopefully more responsive, screen
- faster (cross fingers) OS [I'm sick of WinMo]
- 3.5mm audio jack
Only major gripe is that it's as big as the TyTN II (its size is a major bummer for me as well). Hopefully the actual thickness will be at the low end of the given range (15.9mm vs 18.3mm). At least it's lighter than the TyTN II by a good 40g or so.

i just hate the qwerty keyboard. that makes it look like an eseries device. i hate business phones. i hate phones with a qwerty keyboard. does this phone have a fm transmitter? if it doesnt, its really disappointing. i hope the next nseries phone will finally be good enough becos n97 really is a big disappointment. touchscreen with qwerty keyboard looks so ugly.

another disappointing phone from nokia. too bad they dont make good phones anymore since n95 8gb.

This phone is great, is the best phone nokia has ever made and I can't wait for next year to get mine. I wanna be the 1st one lol. People also needs to stop complaining about the MPX, nokia is not on the race for MPXs. If you want a nokia with an 8MPX camer just wait for next year thats when is gonna be coming out.

I hope this phone comes out sooner than it's supposed to. I want this phone so bad. It will replace my iphone 3g. Many touchscreen phones have already been released saying that they're better than my iphone, but I simply ignored all of them after watching some demos. The N97 seems to be the only one that can defeat my iphone, both in functionality and UI. Although I still think that the iphone still has the smoother UI, but the N97's UI seems fluid as well, and not frustrating like those other iphone killer wannabes. The iphone's glory days are starting to dim, and hopefully, Apple would realize that restricting their customers is not a good thing =) Now that the N97 has arrived, iphone owners will surely switch to this new touchscreen marvel. Only reason why iphone owners stick with their iphones is because the iphone's UI is unmatched. Not anymore. Thanks to Nokia.

Too bad its being released soo late.. it has great features and a nice spec list along with a slick design, but thats only for now.. theres no telling what samsung or SE will release. dont get me wrong, im a fan of nokia but this phone will be out of date by the time they release it.

one thing i really dont understand,
ive been lokoing at the w705 for quite sometime now, i liked that phone, but after looking at this great innovation by nokia, the N97, i found out the rating for this phone isnt as high compared to the w705.
i am still considering whether to buy this phone or not, because it seemed that everytime Nokia comes out with something new, and impressive i must say, they always have some problems with the phone. maybe ill just give it a month or so after the release date and see how this phone is performing before getting one. =)

That outdated lump of plastic which is ... morei know it hurts my friend, n96 beats inno in sales by mile.. i know u believe that inno has better specs but consumers dont think otherwise, they still chose the complete n96 package than inno..nothing new.. samsung didnt find this funny thats why their droping inno price, so sad :(

5 or 8 or 2 all megapixels all the same, the good thing is it's carl zeis and the real news here is the touch screen, it's about time nokia has some touchscreen devices, the battary is a little modest (6hours talk time) there is better.
i wish 1 day i'll c nokia windows mobile, knowing that symbian is all right.
but watch it guys samsung has some high quality stuff.
