i think this was part of their marketing strategy. wait for every high end phone to come out first then announce their phone so people will prefer to get the ultimate phone instead of all the other crap.

so Iknow name of processor-OMAP 2430/31 450 Mhz
the same in sams i8510 so sound quality will be amayzing and video playback and video record in very very good level
so iphone 3g bull shiet

Is it the replacement of the N95? It looks beautiful and I do hope it will be available soon. The 5 mp camera is enough and the QWERTY keyboard is very interesting. And, I'm sure, Nokia quality and reliability will be present in this phone for 2009. Greetings to all Nokia users. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all from beautiful Colombia.

looks good... the slider mechanism looks a bit fragile though. Shame about the screen resolution too; 800x480 WVGA would have been much better.

5 mp is enough for smart phone like N97, why do you need 8 mp camera?Look everything that N97 has and you will see that Samsung is a piece of sh.t compared to N97.

iam gonna buy The N96 Monday..,like i said before iam real Nokia fan And in this last 2 Weeks i have been using a iPhonie 2G the way iam curious so so My N97 is waiting for me next year 09 yes i love space in monster this is for my collection.

i think it will be the device of 2009 and make users very happy ;don t even compare nokia with others companies they cant test no match n97 will be the best device of the next year and i think that 54 mp its good enough for mobile phone if you guys want to be a professional in photograph so just go with a real camera,like somone said before the 5mp or 8mp is just about print size and no quality of the picture remember that thing

This is the handset I've been waiting for!
My beloved s60 with a touchscreen, but with the convenience of a physical keyboard. Plus the great camera I'm enjoying with my N95... and 32gb built in to boot!

No need to tell NOKIA is always the best and the first. Especially after dissappointment of other supposly revolutionary products from other brands. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE US WAIT for so long like you did with N96 !!!!!!!

Nice phone but IMHO, the n97 is what the n96 should have been & the n96 is what the n85 should have been.
