Thanks for the response guyz,
when i hard reset my n97 , i dont see the facebook app preinstalled so guess it's not thr ,,
one more thing ,,when i try to download the facebook app either from OVI directly or from the facebook page link directing me to OVI ,,i get a message sayin that the app is not for n97 or somthing ...
another thing ,,i tried to go on mobilecreed but cudnt find the maps thr for south africa,,,any help please?

scrap by nokia , worst phone ever for this much of price , internal memory too low , experiment should be done in labs ,not on customers. n97 mini is the example of this experiment . if you r short temper person then u will thrash this after 10 min of operation. and u know ................................. its TRUE.

Please can someone help me when it comes to my phone firm upgrade? What i don't understand is why some people get v22 firmware to there phone why mine is still carrying v20 as the latest. Every attempt to have it upgraded has got me nowhere.
I have tried FOTA method even search through ovi store.
What i don't understand is this, does the manufacturer has category of people who can upgrade there phone anytime while other are left at the mercy of the old ones?

This happens when you change the name of a contact person on the phone (i.e. adding details to the name) other than it is on the SIM .
to resolve the problem, make sure a contact's name is spelled the same (including spaces) on both the SIM and phone memory.

The PDF viewer says "Trial period expired." so, "No, it doesn't have even a document viewer, unless you want to spend more money."

But if you once believed it has a call voice command, forget it, unless you talk as a ROBOT.
Dealer says it´s like that. No way to correct problem.

I sure ho... moreThreaded sms as always been around for Nokia, in some sense though. It's not really 'threaded' as such, but it is atleast a way to view your messages as they were sent and received in the order of being sent and received.
Create folders in your message box for all your regular contacts, then move messages to the relevant folders. That way, you can view the sms conversation as incoming, and outgoing messages sent back and forth between you and your contact.
It's not REALLY threaded, but it's atleast a way to view a conversation on our N97's...

lou, 08 Jul 2010can n97 edit microsoft word such as word, excel?N97 comes with a trial version of quick office and it means after some days you need to pay to upgrade it to a full version. Alternatively you can use cracked full version (like me) but you need some expertise to install it but it is always free!!

3)Once you download the map on your phone, your map will work offline and you do NOT need gprs.
