Sometimes on the 40th second. It varies from phone to phone and user to user so I do hope you will get the faster combo.
I heard that it only takes40 seconds to boot the Nokia N97, more than that and it will have a DEFECT. So I tried the MODIFIED MEMORY CARD TRICK and I got it within 25-40 seconds

I really like this phone, the features and the design, at first I was really thinking If i would buy this phone because this will be the first time that I will use a touch screen phone, but after 3 days i can use the phone already, I hope nokia will release a phone that can hold 2 sims in one phone so that we, users like me would not carry 2 phones wherever we are its really bulky. Thank you very much and more power to nokia

the phone is great very tech savvy!but you have to be patient with it cause it has so many features. that can be tricky to work. the sensors for the light/heat was annoying at first :p & setting up the email & the fact that it would freeze but when i went to phone managment

dude grt phone but after updating the sftwre version,some calls cannot be disconnctd,I mean it'll be discnnctd but the screen'll show incoming call alert then I'll have to reboot.Is there any cure for this disease?

When using the front camera, it is only QVGA (320x240). How can I have a VGA (640x480) pictures?

after downloading some apps, my Nokia N97 rebooted fine right after downloading some apps. wow. this REBOOT PROBLEMS is random now to me.

jobe, 26 Dec 2009kris, do u stil experience that reboot prob of yours despit... moreyup. it is until now. IT IS A PLAGUE of the Nokia N97. I used all possible firmwares of each country that covers RM-505 and all are the same - no reboot.
I was very disappointed at this phone. I got so many file installed and the problem was the reboot problem. giving it to Nokia Care is pointless. I await for a firmware update.
Help me shout out this plague so Nokia will address it with the next firmware

Larry, 25 Dec 2009the main complaints about this phone are about software iss... morei agree on the part that the phone increased its performance upon updating to v2... On the second partwhere the phone continually reboots, my fone does not do so.. Its a great fone. Only me the user is careless when it dropped it on a concrete floor.

A 600 mhz instead of the built-in 400+mhz
a 256 mb instead of the built-in 128.
The rest are advantages.

This is my modified memory card trick if your Nokia N97 will not boot up.
1) Insert your microSD card into the card slot
2) If your Nokia N97 will not boot up, remove the memory card while the phone is switched on
3) Remove the battery
4) Insert the battery
5) Insert the memory card
6) press the power button of your Nokia N97
Your Nokia N97 should boot up. It happened 3 times on my phone and I didnt hard-reset it.
Hope this help
